Strangely, my husband said today before the debate to a friend that he thought this debate COULD be the only Veep debate in history that affected the turnout of the election.

I personally don't believe that. Edwards libs probably are home making excuses for their Pony tonight.

A case could be made that is true. We are at war and tonight Cheney demonstrated that Edwards isn't capable of handling the responsibility. For folks that are looking towards security, Cheney's presence would be reassuring while the combo of Kerry/Edwards creates uncertainty.

I'm going to go on record with stating I'm not sure if anything but momentum was affected immediately tonight. Though I stand by assessment everything that occurs is being registered with the people and will form an overall average that on Nov. 2nd will result in one candidate being the beneficiary by a sizeable margin.
