The only reason Edwards decided not to run again is because he knew he would never win again in a primarilly republican north carolina. Senator Gone.

I don't know does the Senate get sworn into session en masse with each new Congress or is it just the rookies?

Can't wait to see the SNL skit this weekend with Johnboy Edwards jumping out of his seat every other minute and giggling. I loved the part in his closing statement when he said "when I was young"... LOL
