Letter from ACU -- Senator Kerry: Execute Your DD 180: Release Your Discharge Papers
ACU ^

Posted on 10/05/2004 6:50:05 AM PDT by jmstein7

Dear Friend of the ACU:

Senator Kerry:  Why haven't you released your DD 180 to the public?  What is contained in your military records that you want hidden from the voting public?

That's the question I waited to hear during Thursday's Presidential debate -- And it's a question that needs to be posed to Senator Kerry during the October 8th presidential debate in St. Louis.

With your help -- we're going to see to it that this question is posed to Senator Kerry.

Please join me in calling upon the officers and directors of the Commission on Presidential Debates, debate moderator Charles Gibson of ABC News and the heads of ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and Fox to ask Senator Kerry this all-important question.

We want to blast thousands of faxes to their offices demanding that this important question be posed to Senator Kerry.

Yes David, the media needs to start asking BOTH of the Presidential candidates the tough questions.  The media has had a "field day" casting aspersions and innuendos on President Bush's military record -- even after President Bush released his full military record.  Senator Kerry deserves the same treatment -- especially since he has refused to release his records.  The American public needs to know what the man who wants to be the next Commander-in-Chief has to hide and this question should be answered, once and for all on October 8th while millions of Americans are watching.

The Mission of the Commission on Presidential Debates -- according to its website -- is as follows:

"The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) was established in 1987 to ensure that debates, as a permanent part of every general election, provide the best possible information to viewers and listeners."

It's time for our biased media to stop distorting and start reporting.

With your help, we're going to take the CPD and the liberal media to task and see to it that they fulfill their mission by finally asking what is probably the most important and under reported question of this election cycle.

Of course, Senator Kerry will tell you that he has released his full military record and direct you to his website -- but some very pivotal information is missing from the website.

Two weeks ago, an official with Navy Personnel Command FOIA told Judicial Watch that the Navy "withheld thirty-one pages of documents from the responsive military personnel service records as we were not provided a release authorization."

One of these missing documents is Senator Kerry's original discharge certificate which would indicate whether Senator Kerry received an honorable discharge from the Navy.

It should be remembered that Senator Kerry, while not on active duty, was still an officer in the Naval Reserve when he organized anti-war protests and traveled to Paris to meet with an enemy communist delegation.

It is within the realm of possibility that these actions led to Senator Kerry receiving an other than honorable or even a dishonorable discharge.

Now this is all speculation -- But two important questions come to mind.

One, why is Senator Kerry -- amid this speculation -- refusing to clear the air and authorize the release of his full military record?

And two, why is the media going to bat for Senator Kerry by not pushing the issue?

Could it be that information in the missing records could well sink Senator Kerry's presidential campaign?

Could it be that members of the press, fearing the worst, are covering for their candidate by burying the question?

Over thirty years ago -- what was on eight minutes of missing tape that sunk a sitting president?

Today, the American public deserves to know what is contained on thirty-one pages of missing documents.

Join with me in demanding some answers.  It only takes one member of the press to raise the question once in the proper venue.  Let's push the issue.

If he did that, everyone would know what a phony he is and no hero at all. Everyone should read Tommy Franks book about his time in Vietnam. He was in the Army of course, but said that if you did not need hospitalization you did not get a purple heart. He got three of them.

Yep, that's SF guys-not DD. Kerry isn't getting asked about his record because the msm doesn't want to know. It's the see no evil/hear no evil/speak no evil complex.By acting like George Bush is the only one with a record they can gloss over Kerry's.
