Bob Schieffer is Biased For John Kerry and States It On CNN
CNN show Larry King Live

Posted on 10/04/2004 10:27:20 PM PDT by onyx eyes

Bob Schieffer did not even try to hide his bias for John Kerry, on CNN's Larry King Live, tonight, Monday, 10-04-04. Bob Schieffer began his talk with King by taking up for Dan Rather and by saying when asked what he thought about Rather's situation, that he thought it was terrible, that people were going to these lengths. Terrible that, the bloggers on the Internet were waging a Jhad -- Holy War -- on Dan Rather.

Bob Schieffer said that he was pleased that John Kerry is up in the polls. Schieffer said that he believed it was due to the fact that John Kerry had finally come out and told people where he stands. Schieffer grinned while telling how it is good that Kerry stood strong and stated his position, even though calling the war in Iraq a "diversion", may not sit well with some pople, at least everyone knows Kerry's position.

Last, before I turned the channel to another station, I hear Bob Schieffer telling Larry King that he agrees with the article by the New York Times about the whitehouse ignoring intelligence on the fuel rods found in Iraq, and Schieffer said it was an extremely "well-written" piece. Schieffer says that the article by NYT, makes a convincing case that the fuel rods were not meant for weapons of mass destruction. And that the "whitehouse" had ignored this fact.

Bob Schieffer is scheduled to be the moderator for the October 13th debate between President Bush and John Kerry.

Can anyone tell me if they saw this on Larry King Live, on CNN. And can anyone tell me if I am imagining things.

These people just don't get it. Their attitude really gets people mad. Mad enough to make sure they vote against Kerry.

Blame the Republicans for agreeing to this slug as a moderator.

How about some new faces? Enough with sad sack Jim Lehrer already!

I didn't see it but does it surprise me? No! He is MSM and the MSM are in bed with Lurch. This is what we are fighting against.

"Bob Schieffer is scheduled to be the moderator for the October 13th debate between President Bush and John Kerry."

A couple of ways to play this:

1) Bush to demand a different moderator, or

2) Bush to let it all hang out at the debate, like..."well, Bob, I know you are for Kerry, against me, but I'll still answer your question. But first let me restate your question in a fair and nuetral manner. That way listeners can have a fair debate."

isn't there a way to dispute of contest the use of a man
like Shieffer as debate moderator?
Based on his comments on Larry King he should be disqualified.
I attempted to go to www.debates.org but they do not post any e-mail link for contact there.

2) Bush to let it all hang out at the debate, like..."well, Bob, I know you are for Kerry, against me, but I'll still answer your question. But first let me restate your question in a fair and neutral manner. That way listeners can have a fair debate."

That would be ideal and still consistent with the "new tone."

And he doesn't think CBS/Dan Rather did anything wrong. A fool.

Never watch the communist/clinton news net. larry king is one of its worst propagandists, lobbing softballs to lefties -- from what's on conservative radio sound clips and written in the new media.

bob schieffer was interviewed by Sean Hannity on radio last week. Another mutual-admiration, softball interview. schieffer said he'd play the debate right down the middle; no bias for either side. What d'ya expect from a professional propagandist paid by cbs? A cbs prerequisite is to speak as a forked-tongue LIAR and be a licentious libertine.

These guys are all the same, he was on Hannity's radio program last week saying a lot of things different. He said his politics were right down the middle and always have been. There was no mention of a jihad, and he was non commital on Rather.

Nobody from that scandal-plagued disgrace known as CBS News should be allowed to moderate a debate for dog-catcher, let alone a Presidential debate. I cannot understand why the Bush team doesn't twist the dagger on those scumbags, finish them off once and for all, and demand a "non-partisan" moderator.

The fact that Internet sites like FR and blogs are being diminished by the MSM is a sure sign that they have risen to a level of some power and importance.

The MSM only attacks and challenges what it fears has any effective ability to change the status quo.

This site, as well as blogs in general, are now becoming VALID players in the game.

The Moderators are not yet finalised. It would be strategically stupid to have Bob Schieffer as a moderator when CBS are still running hit pieces like the Draft on Bush even after the fake memos. Schieffer would just give softball questions to Kerry, just like in the first debate.

This is without a doubt the most frighteningly biased election coverage I have ever witnessed. I am almost speechless sometimes. To this day, nobody in the mainstream media has made any effort to critically analyze Kerry's senate record. None whatsoever. The AP sues to get Bush's records, but isn't interested in Kerry's (which he won't release). CBS talks to an ex ANG officer critical of Bush, but has no interest in the Swiftboat vets. It's absolutely amazing. I doubt that many of Kerry's own supprters have any idea just how leftwing this guy actually is!

Tonight I heard Howard Dean on Letterman claim that Bush created the North Korean nuclear threat, when in fact NK already had nuclear weapons before Bush even took office. It was Clinton's stupid policy that created the NK threat, but nobody is interested in that answer. Letterman didn't challenge him on it.

The 'rats are trashing the economy even though the unemployment rate is very low, and the economy according to Alan Greenspan is in very good shape. Under Clinton, the MSM could not get enough of Greenspan's comments. Now, any good news (and there's a LOT) goes virtually unnoticed. Instead, any bad news (however slight) is usually reported on the front page with a reference to it being a "problem" for Bush. The enormous amount of good news is just reported in the business section and rarely makes it to the front page.

I'm just incredibly saddened by what we're seeing. This president, a really good man who cares deeply for this country, is being vilified by the media and Hollywood for no good reason other than their own self interest. If Kerry gets elected, I will hate him from the minute he takes office, until the day he leaves. Kerry's treachery, and that of his party and their useful idiots in the media, is putting the US on a course frought with disaster. But hey, as long as they can get their liberal judges in that's all that matters to these people. It's sick.
