Who Is The 'Racist' Texas Senator?
Wentworth? Ratliff? Who? Who? Who?
The Snitch Has The Answer!
"If you're going to act like a Mexican, we're going to treat you like a Mexican."
SA's Leticia Van de Putte has finally identified the racist rat in the Texas Senate who coined that phrase.
She did so inadvertently.
We will explain, and name the name, but first...

The quote above, attributed to a "republican" and cited by State Senator Van de Putte last year, sparked nation-wide outrage and fueled racial hatred and division in Texas. She said it was uttered in the Senate lounge, but that Senate ethics forbade her from naming the culprit.
This "ethical" decision effectively smeared all republican Senators, who immediately challenged the statement en mass.
The words were spoken, according to Leticia, following bickering over penalties for the failed democrat's defection to Albuquerque in an attempt to stop redistricting. So outrageous was the supposed quote that the left-leaning Express-News gleefully rushed to print before realizing something was giving off a sour odor.
Indeed, fellow senators Judith Zaffirini and SA's own Frank Madla were named by Leticia as eye-and-ear-witnesses to these racially charged words. But when asked, Leticia's democrat colleagues DIDN'T back that up.
Madla said he never heard it, or if he did he can't remember it.
Zaffirini said she was so zonked out on painkillers that she doesn't remember, either.
"I'm sure I was there, but I don't recall it," she told the Express-News.

Leticia's claim ignited wild speculation. "Who was that Senator?"
Leticia eventually threw the race-mobile into reverse, and changed her story. She said she forgave the Senator in question, but has yet to admit that the incident never happened. She says she prefers to put the whole thing behind her.
"Apology was made. Apology accepted," she said. "It's a closed matter," she claimed to reporters, at the time.
But, the Snitch has learned that Leticia, inadvertently, let the rat out of the bag. Sources close to her re-election campaign have tattled that on at least two occasions Leticia has admitted to insiders who the "racist" Senator is.
"If you're going to act like a Mexican, we're going to treat you like a Mexican."

And here's how it happened, according to sources.

Leticia, and others among the 11 democratic Senators who fled to Albuquerque, had been using race as a tool. Perhaps you remember her famous quote from the Land of Enchantment.
"It is unconscionable that these white republicans would attempt to hurt our constituents."
The race issue played so well that Leticia went as far as to imply she only represented hispanics and blacks.
Apparently, insiders say, she became so carried away with a Frank Madla tirade on racial injustice in Texas, that she crafted the quote and released it to the Express-News during an editorial board meeting. She counted on her cohorts Madla and Zaffarini to back her up. Problem was, she didn't consult them first. They were caught "flat-footed," as one squealer put it.
It comes as little surprise to those who have followed the exploits of the mouthy Van de Putte. Lying and race-bating are her stock and trade.
For instance, when she went to Albuquerque, she claimed she was paying for it out of her own pocket. She even had to get a loan on her life insurance, she said.
In an interview with the Star-Telegram she made that clear.
Despite the obvious comfort, Sen. Leticia Van de Putte of San Antonio, the chairwoman of the Senate democratic Caucus, stressed that this is no pleasure trip. They came to New Mexico to block an unfair redistricting plan pushed by their republican colleagues, she said.
"It shouldn't make any difference to anybody -- the senators themselves are paying for this, and not the taxpayers and not anybody else," said Van De Putte, the organizer of the second orchestrated walkout in 2 1/2 months by Texas democratic lawmakers. "If it comes out of somebody's pockets, it's out of our own." (Star-Telegram 7-30-2003, Emphasis added)
Of course, when she filed her campaign records that story fell apart. Turns out she reimbursed herself from her office holder's account. (Click for related stories.)
And when the Senate lie went flat, she tried to change direction, and reported that she had a "medical problem." She at first hinted that it might be life threatening. Later, in a brief press release, Van de Putte said the proposed medical procedure she spoke of is routine but "serious."
Still unknown is what the medical problem is, but we're pretty sure it's not anorexia.
Racially sensitive? Leticia wears that term as a badge. Yet, she is part owner of Dixie Flag Company, one of the largest outlets in the country for the Liberal's favorite target...the Dixie flag. Nazi flags, too.
Concerned for public education? Sure. So concerned that she sends her own kids to private school.
Now she has been accused of misuse of public funds to further her campaign. The Austin DA is trying to sort that one out.

It should come as no surprise to Lightning readers that we don't like this woman. We have been critical of her for years. Biased? You bet.

Snitch predictions:
Express-News has already decided to endorse the squirrley girly.
Expect news stories in that paper to attack Leticia's dark horse challenger, Jim Valdez. Tittle-Tattlers say it will get pretty ugly.
Valdez will propose a debate. Leticia will say no, and skate.

And if Leticia wants to point a finger at that racial rat, she will need a mirror.

What's so wrong with a statement like that anyhow? Mexican is a nationality just like American is --- I sure don't mind acting and being treated like an American --- it's not something to be ashamed of. Or if someone said "If you're going to act like a Canadian, we're going to treat you like a Canadian" --- it wouldn't really be something that would offend a Canadian who might like to be treated as one. It sounds like she herself has a problem with the term "Mexican".
And she talks to herself.
Lying libelous democRat cheats taxpayers out of money while covering it up. Situation normal.
Still though, a large segment of San Antonio will always worship the popular Van de Putte, no matter what she says, thinks, or thinks she said, or thought she thought! Van de Putte is the people pleaser of San Antonio!
Most "Vans" are Dutch, and perhaps her husband is of Dutch ethnicity, but this Leticia is Hispanic.
