What I really don't get (former Democrat here) is HOW he got the party's nomination, and WHY he has such strong support! I just don't understand what happened to the Democrat party. All I know is, I can no longer be a party TO it.
IMHO...he got the nomination because of Dean's little meltdown (real or not) after Iowa. The DNC the last few elections seem to favor style over substance. Notice how all the comments after the debate have been how "presidential" Kerry LOOKED? Not acted but LOOKED!
The DNC is treating this like a popularity contest.
Kerry got the nod NOT because he's the best qualified to lead our country but because there is such a hatred of Bush by the Angry Left.
