I fear you are right, I would expect more low scale terror
here, bus bombings, poison scares etc.
Once the Islamic fanatics become victorious their hubris will know no bounds. If ever the domino theory were true
it would be the case in the middle east and Europe, although more perhaps from demographics than conquest.I do
not think the russians would not like shareing the continent with a hegemonic Islamic state but there might come a time when that point was moot.

Once an Islamic superstate begins to form, road to the final struggle for survival will begin in ernest.

It started on 20 Jan 93.

We are like the frog in a pot of cold water. The heat was turned on some time ago and the temperature has risen to the point of discomfort. Will the American people react before it's too late? We laugh when we see European cities being taken over by muslims, but we have Hamtramck folding to their demands; we have amusement parks proclaiming muslim only days; we have university professors calling for sharia law.

We have no reason to laugh at anyone else.

Hmm...

Well, let's suppose that the Reps keep Congress too, though barely, as it is the most likely scenario.

Once elected Kerry promises to pull out of Iraq. Terror attacks ramp up. We flee.

Iraq falls into civil war. Syrian controlled Sunnis fight against Iranian controlled Shiites.

AQ establishes a firm hold within the Syrian controlled areas, and recruits Saddam's WMD scientists.

Pakistan falls into civil war. AQ moves in.

Afghanistan falls into civil war. AQ moves in.

Within two years AQ is producing anthrax in large amounts.

Anthrax maillings start up again. President Kerry forces the FBI to focus on a domestic mailer.

Several American senior officials are assassinated in Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. Kerry pulls out *all* American personel from the Middle East.

The anthrax mailings stop.

The Syrian/Iranian war becomes official.

The government of Syria falls, replaced by an avowed Islamist leader. Fellow Sunni Islamists come to power in every Middle Eastern nation outside of Iran, which faces certain defeat now.

End of Kerry's 4 years.

"Will we face increased attacks in this country because of democrat ineptitude, or PC foolishness?"

I've already provided for this contingency; high-power weapons and lots of ammo, plus water and food.. t. I was there with you in '69-72, 5th SF, 3rd Btn.

I've got your back; go!

What are you worried about? G.W. is still going to win this election. Fact is, G.W. meet his expectations and Kerry slightly exceeded his. In debate terms, it's considered a draw. The American people still trust G.W. a lot more than the liberal senator from Taxuchusetts.

And yet it doesn't have to be as bad as we think,
the Iranian people have had the mullahs up to here.
They have seen their children and their fathers and brothers
slaughtered in a terrible war, the enemy Huessain has now been vanquished as the pitiful excuse for a human he was, and HIS subjects are on the road to freedom and self government, that road is the one the Iranian people want too. May we live to see it, as IRAN is one of the KEYS to
dealing with this situation.

among others it will mean the following:
Michael Moore won
MoveOn won
Soros won
hate won
Anti-Americanism won
Ultimately islamofacism wins
basically it will mean evil wins good loses.

I agree. The number of evil forces arrayed against Bush are incredible. That alone makes me believe he is a man of God.
And if he is beaten in this election it will be a victory for evil. Scary.

Follow up on domestic issues...

Kerry and the Reps in Congress argue over the budget. The press talks about his "mandate" and how the Reps will be to blame for any government shut down.

The Reps cave on spending in a major way - including socialized medicine in all but name.

In two years they cave on raising taxes too to pay for all the new spending.

When the aforementioned anthrax mailings start up again, Kerry, like Clinton before him, sics the FBI on groups that oppose him. No culprit is found.

He gets a new National Security Act passed that makes the Patriot Act pale in comparison. However, the focus continues to be on "far rightwing" groups, who must be behind the mailings after all.

The mailings fade into the memory hole, but the new powers and survelliance of "domestic enemies" continue.

Kerry also pushes through a number of anti-RKBA arms iniatives.

Kerry appoints 3 SC justices. The Reps offer no serious opposition.

This new hard left SC finds a right to federally financed abortion as part of the new socialized medicine scheme, forces gay marriage on the US as a whole, and makes no bones about applying European law within the US.

Kerry gets through a national mandatory volunteering program. All graduating seniors must serve two years in the military, peace corp, or a similar position.

Gas prices continue to climb. And the economy spends 2 years in a recession before officially falling into a depression around 2007. The press roundly blames Bushonomics.

End of Kerry's 4 years.

If kerry should somehow win? this election, the country will either be a dictatorship or under martial law within a year. I don't think the military will let him go too far astray.

A lot of folks who never post on FR are posting now and oddly, they are not encouraging people to call the campaign and volunteer, nor do they declare having done so. That really should be their focus.

Kerry will not win the election. I, like many others, believe that Bush will win by a considerable margin – if not a landslide. Much of the democratic base will pause when they go to the polls and “pull the lever” for Bush (Bush Democrats). I do not dislike all Democrats. There are many moderate Democrats that will fight to regain control over their party. How many moderate Dems are actually stumping for Kerry? Zell Miller took the opposite tack and I am sure that many on this thread could name even more that do not want to appear with – or help Kerry. Who are they? They have their own war going on inside their party. The moderates know the stakes as well as the Republicans. We are in a war and Americans don’t like to lose. After all, what good are handouts if your pride or life is taken from you?

Our "Band of Brothers" is different from theirs. We believe in God, we believe in the Constitution, and we own weapons like those we used as tools of the trade. Most importantly, we still have ties to those still in uniform.

Any one want to bet that our military wouldn't step in and correct a fraudulent election? They know the stakes.

If Kerry's the pick; start learning Arabic. Voter fraud is our biggest worry in making such a nightmare possible. Sorry to say it, but it's time for a National ID card for all LEGAL CITIZENS, and mandatory laws they be used when voting. .....The virtue of Honesty died in this country when Clinton questioned the meaning of the word "is".

Your scenario is plausable, certainly those actions are ones discussed amongst democrats, applauded even by some.

Contemplating the unthinkable, Hillery! as AG.
