Unions are so last century.
I see no reason why non-members should be allowed votes in union elections.
But then, I see no reason why non-members should be required to pay union dues.
As a non-union member in the public teaching profession, I am very disturbed at the course that unions have taken over the past few decades. Specifically, the NEA spends 75% of union dues on lobbying for causes, that I for the most part, disagree with. The NEA has turned away from being a unbiased agent that was only looking out for the teacher's best interest to a purely partisan. Because of their purely immoral lobbying, I ask my fellow teachers to also drop out of this organization.
