If Vicky Gene steps down and Frank Griswold and the other 61 revisionists repent, then ECUSA can remain intact. However, I can't imagine the vain Vicky Gene stepping down. He would rather die first. And, as for most of the revisionists repenting. I would suprised if even one of them did.

I would seem if they do not repent, then the congregations leaving ECUSA have an even better claim to their property.

I agree. Since in my opinion this has ALWAYS been about grabbing the property, endowments, and art collections, I am glad to see this statement by the Anglicans.

I think the apostates overplayed their hand in the effort to drive most of the traditional people away, and it is coming back to bite them.

As a former Episcopalian, I cannot imagine Vicki Gene stepping down. Or the others repenting. They are a proud, proud bunch and they think they are right and leading the way to a new future. It's been festering for decades. Perhaps they'll try to make it Bush's fault.
