Just put their "handle" in the "To" window of a "reply" message. Follow whatever recipeient is already there with a ";" and then put in their "handle". Or you can just delete the name that is there, and then put in the name of the person you want to ping.

I'll ping ahadams. Even though he may still be able to read it, I don't think he can reply. I often include a departed friend on a forwarded email. Yes it bounces, but I know that he gets it anyway, up yonder.
