Voter Fraud in Wisconsin
Power Line ^ | September 26, 2004 | John Hinderaker

Reader Thomas Chiappetti sent us a link to this piece by Mark Belling on the groundwork that the Democrats are laying to commit voter fraud on a massive scale in Wisconsin:

* * *

This may be the election in which voter fraud plays such a decisive role that it can no longer be ignored or tolerated. If President Bush doesn't win easily, Democratic fraud will either swing the election to Kerry, or, at a minimum, provide the basis for endless legal challenges to the election's outcome. It has been reported in the mainstream press that the Kerry campaign has already prepared lawsuits in 10 to 15 states, ready to file in the event Kerry loses. Indeed, lawsuits have already been started in some states.

Didn't voter fraud make a big difference in Milwaukee in 2000?

WE need Emergency Legislaiton making it a Federal Crime to commit voter fraud, with a MANDANTORY sentence of 5 years in Federal Prison.

I think we need some sort of system that before you vote, your SSN is run through to make sure you haven't voted anywhere else previously on election day.

In my opinion literacy tests would be a good idea. The only reason they were in validated by the SC was because they were applied in a racially discriminatory fashion. If they were applied and administered fairly to all voters during registration - there should not be a Constitutional challenge that will work.

If we know about this doesn't it stand to reason that the Bush campaign does as well? I would assume that massive vote fraud is not nearly as easy as it may have been in the past. Just because it is attempted does not mean it will succeed.

a national voter registry?

How about something that is easy to do IMMEDIALTLY? Mandate everone who votes for a federal election must show a photo ID from the a government agency from the USA. Conular Matricula card is not valid for voting.

let's hope the word "invalidated" isn't on the literacy test.

"One former employee of the New Voter Project has told me that many staffers simply took names out of the telephone book to fill out their daily quotas. He quit his job in fear there’d be a criminal investigation"

This guy needs to found and indited, let him squeal out this outfit.

Don't you already have to show an ID? When I voted in STL and Lexington Kentucky we had to. But that doesn't stop someone from voting twice.

yes, it did. Smokes for votes scandal, college students voting multiple times, last minute rallies / bus rides and polls held open late. Among other things.

And the local (liberal) DA didn't do a damn thing about it. The only hope is if the SE wisconsin area US attorney (biskupic) makes an announcement that any voter fraud in a federal election will be investigated and prosecuted.

I would speculate that the Attorney General is working on this.

REALLY!! WHAT?!?! That makes no sense at all.

I think that there is enough of the federal government at stake that elections should be nationalized in regards to how we vote and how we register.

Yes. Why is this even a debatable issue? It never ceases to amaze me that everyone doesn't understand that you must prove you are a citizen of the United States to vote! Make them all show a drivers license or ID card. Make them prove they are who they say they are. There would still be fraud, but that would take care of most of it right there.
