Ivan, why all the violence? :-P Cheers! :)
Someone explain this please...???? I saw that storm go up North..how did it get back down South?
It went around a ridge of High pressure -- it made a circle.
More power than the Energizer Bunny.
Ivan is a freaking mummy.
I think a better name for this one would be Rasputin.

So would it be a "Crazy Ivan"?
It should have been named "Christine". Hahaha.
A big piece of the storm broke off from the main storm and hung around in the Atlantic offshore of the Southeastern US. It then headed Southeast crossing central Florida and left plenty of rain. Next it went back into the Gulf and strengthened again.
Does anyone know what they expect it to do - will it reorganize and become a hurricane again? We could use some rain, but this is not the way I want to get it.
IVAN: "Any of you guys call me Frances, and I'll kill you."
It's raining here in New Orleans now, and nice and windy. The local weather people expect it to be a Tropical Storm tonite. They are also saying the LA/TX border, but the sucker looks like it's coming right at N.O.
Talk about kinky! It's like those horror movie villains, never quite dead.
I don't think they should have named it Ivan tho. Ivan went inland and dissipated. It should be Matthew. I think this is purely for attention-getting purposes, and it is rather insensitive to all the people devastated by Ivan on the Gulf Coast.
LOL
Very clever.
Maybe it will bring rain up here to Arizona? I mean Missouri? No rain in a month-6 weeks. Bone dry. "No-burn orders" issued in many areas. We sure could use a long, slow 3-day rain...
LOL! Very good. Guess they aren't going to rename it as was speculated earlier.
