You know, it very well could be. I have to admit I'm stunned at how fast this went through; I never thought he would actually be confirmed before the election. Ketchup Boy has got to be feeling some pain right now for sure.

I take it as Senator Bob Graham actually doing something right for one time in his career. He and Goss have a good working relationship through their positions on the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and Graham has supported Goss for DCI since he was nominated. The Rats knew they needed to flip Graham on Goss to give them enough political cover to pull off one of their "filibusters", and I'm sure they applied immense pressure to Graham to withdraw his support for Goss. It seems Graham may have actually made like a broken clock.
