Al Qaeda 'Targeted UK Parliament'

Britain said on Friday that al Qaeda had targeted parliament and called for an urgent security shake-up after two embarrassing breaches in 24 hours."The security services briefed me some time ago about intelligence they had about al Qaeda operatives in Britain focusing on parliament," said the government's leader in the House of Commons, Peter Hain.

Is this why the Britain pullout? Could there be a threat or hostage situation in the parliment?

The British government should thank F4J (Fathers for Justice--fathers' rights organization), the purple flour thrower and "Batman" for showing them the security holes.

Peter Hain. Used to disrupt cricket matches & rugby games featuring South African teams. Should've stuck to that, he's proved the Peter Principle.

Jack Straw. Headed National Students' Union in 60s. Don't think he's ever had a "real" job in his life. Ditto.

Gee - at first I thought you were replying to the wrong persn - then realized this is 2 months old.

Seems like there was talk by Britain of pulling some troops out of Iraq. Might have just been a rumor. Thought this threat might explain the sudden turnaround.
