LETTER TO: DAVID VAN OS, TEXAS SUPREME COURT CANDIDATEFROM: LT. COL. (RET.) BILL BURKETT
"Van Os for Supreme Court" website ^ | Undated | David Van Os

Posted on 09/16/2004 3:46:59 PM PDT by Bronc1

I have a 30 plus year experience of working within and around litigators...I would guess that I have worked with over 100 attorneys and on and with about 40 cases...

When I needed an attorney for a case of pure retaliatory abuse that denied me medical care that I had both earned and paid for, I studied the resumes and reputations of attorneys throughout Texas. David Van Os had and has the highest rating and reputation for ethics of any attorney in Texas. And after dealing with him, I would certainly confirm that he has been the most principled and honest man in the legal profession that I have ever dealt with; and my experience has been that lawyers are notoriously dishonest and lack credibility.

Mr. Van Os has met every commitment within my case, which worked itself through the State court system and ended up at the US Supreme Court. But he was also realistic, honest and fair concerning the law and what it means and also what it does not mean. He stood by the law and the intent of the law throughout our case.

...David will be a People's Judge. I think that's good. On the Texas Supreme Court, I wouldn't believe that the corporations would be too disappointed that the People of Texas would be represented by one of nine seats.

And how would just one judge make any difference? There is no one in the entire field of law that I would select to represent me over David Van Os. Therefore, I have faith that he can be more influential in returning the beginning of balance and equity to this important court...

Bill Burkett

I may be showing my age, but "people's judge" sounds awfully much like Democratic People's Republic of (fill in the blank with the name of a Communist nation. Vietnam will do.)

I dunno, slandering the other 8 judges on the Court by association here is probably not the best way to write a letter of recommendation to the same Court.

Wow! The lawyer for the guy who wrote fake memos to try to bring down the President is running for the Texas Supreme Court. Good to know. We gotta make sure this left-wing looney gets his butt kicked in the election.

Does anyone know the story on this? This might be VERY interesting...

Thanks for finding posting this.

One have to wonder if a lawyer in Texas is involve in a forgery case to remove a President, if that lawyer is eligible to become a judge.

LMAO! this is too funny. Burkett was denied because he was faking. In fact, he used this fake illness, in which he claims he became paralized etc, to skip army duty. (read his web site 'veterans for peace, a Kerry copycat) Van os is nothing but a union lawyer for grievance appeals.

It would be dangerous to have this Van Os in a public office.
You know what kind of rulings you would get out of a guy like that. He would drive businesses out of business. The kerry camp would eventualy drive all the "rich" out of the country, tax the crap out of the rest, and put this country into a deep resession.

Judges must be impartial, and Van Os is far too much of a lefty wing-nut to ever be able to do that job.

Will we see Rather's daughter involved in this?

Oh Bill...are you aware that Kerry and Edwards are both lawyers?

He mentions this on his web page, in fact, it's all this guy ever talks about (veterans for peace)
This guy is delusional, he insinuates that Bush's evil goons are threatening his life all the time.
He has spun a bearing, so to speak.

I wish I could find the whole story, I'll bet the Army sent him for "special" treatment. Belleview comes to mind.

Man, you're sooo right! The level of incestuous relationships in play in the Dem party is incredible.

He'll lose by an even greater margin than Bush carries the state. The Rats have no chance.

This became very clear during the Plame/Wilson fiasco.

When you did searches on that lie, you found out that the story had been perking along on rat blog sites for months. Most of them cited the same lies, spins and similiar names would be repeated and repeated.

Burkett and his lawyer buddy are two names that keep popping up in the rat blogs on this mess.

Burkett was denied because he was faking.

Didn't see that. I did see that he has had two "nervous breakdowns"; also saw that he was hospitalized for depression -- don't know what overlap there might be here. He doesn't seem to be terribly stable (obsessive compulsive? I saw him referred to "stickler for the rules" and he claims to gone through Guard trash after he heard someone give an order to "cleanse" Bush's file).

As I see all I've read in one spot -- he's crazy as a bedbug!

That goes for network newsmen too.

I'd be willing to bet Rather's daughter is involved to some degree... would go a LONG way in "explaining" his reluctance to admit the documents are fraudulent. It is public information that Rather's daughter is a Democrat activist. Is she married? Is she, say "chummy" with any of the other Democrat slimeballs in Texas, including Mary Mapes?

What we need are some freepers from that part of Texas to fill in the gaps.
