Boortz has just reported on his radio/talk show CBS will be making a statement around 3 pm. I don't think we will see a retraction..but will see what "clarify" means.
Also, I hate breaking news and am taking the chance posting this!
(goes to change into my best pajamas)
First it was Noon..now 3 PM.
Looks like they want to post this statement AFTER The Rush Limbaugh Program.
Cowards!
Thanks!
well, if it DOES happen at that time, it just confirms to me they were waiting for rush to finish. this has happened before.
they know what would happen if rush was on.
Amazingly transparent, aren't they?
Wow, for a fat guy, Michael Moore works fast. I wonder what he contrived for cBS?
oooh 43 minutes cant wait <sarcasm
Clarify will mean, ok so what if the memos are fake its the charges stupid not the facts.
East Coast time I fall under.
The "clarification" will be that the memos were typed copies of the originals, hench the "faked" look.
Their waiting for Limbaugh to finish. Too bad for them, Hannity has been a bigger mover on this story, and he starts at 3:05. LOL
Another in a long list of despicable CBS scumspinners.
Rush should do an extra hour so cbs would have to delay again.
I'm sure Hannity can take care of it.
3:00 PM ET. Figures! CBS waiting till RUSH is off the air.
Bet they are watching c-span and waiting
They though they could let the story die, but it isn't. I'm glad their actions now will only raise more questions than answers, and will keep it in the headlines for another newscycle.
Don't forget your bunny slippers! ;-)
1) CBS will once again stand by their "story" saying the documents aren't important.
2) They will get someone to "support" the general messge of their story.
In effect, they will continue to cover their backside.
THOSE EXPECTING A MEA CULPA WILL BE GREATLY DISAPPOINTED.
As I opined elsewhere:
There won't be any statement.
Congress is calling them out on it now.
They have lost control of the situation, and the lawyers will take over.
I noticed that Kerry decided to talk to Imus today, which is the first time he has spoken to the media in six weeks. I don't think the two issues are unrelated. Kerry is trying to shift the focus to his non-issues, and at 12:45, Scott McClelland spun right back around to Congress's investigation.
A truce may be called.
