Interesting article. Click the link as the posting engine will not permit me to post even an excerpt for fair use due to a "copyright complaint."

The article discusses the fraudulent Kerry/Rather memos, and how it is easier to forge contemprary documents now.

This article is also quite interesting in its implications for the new "Check 21" Federal law regarding legalizing check processors to make copies of checks and destroy the originals. Another brick in the wall...

The thing for me is, what if they had done a better job and, knowing it's possible, what else have they forged?

"The debate continues online, with some commentators now saying the memos could, in fact, be legitimate. "

Go to the story -- find the above text and click the link to dailykos... Hmmm, I wonder what side of the story the author was on...

These days, it is possible to forge anything. ANYTHING!

Pictures, video, audio, currency.... A document is almost child's play.

What kills me is See BS's insistance that a transparent and nearly childish forgery is authentic.

We can only wait for the pundits, radio people, and blogsters, and swifty boat veterans, and Karl Rove to sort it out for us.

Network news will keep you safely in the cocoon of happy thoughts, as long as you promise to only watch them.

You can also read the NY Times and listen to NPR, but venture no further out.

Out there lies scary thoughts and ideas. It's all very upsetting.

That's why it's absolutely vital that CBS obfuscate, delay, insist, cover-up, etc. Once this cat gets out of the bag, absolutely anything coming from the Dems OR the media will be open to question. Even if someone at CBS WANTED to admit defeat, the big boys aren't going to let him/her--not just for the sake of politics but for the sake of business.

Oh for goodess' sake, I could have done a better forgery on WordPerfect 5.1.

And what's with this "Welcome to FR" business? Sure, welcome BACK, because two REAL tarts (who shall remain nameless, as really the two of them are not woth mentioning anyway) on opposite sides of the Atlantic seem to have ganged up on me, and keep doing so, but if their latest effort seems to be to get me banned for 24 hours then BRING IT ON, as G.W. Bush might say....

Stupid pinheads at Wired! They site an idiotic lib site in their article instead of FreeRepublic.

Every month they feature Joe Trippi or MoveOn or some other liberal spec of cyberspace but they neglect to feature the site that got Clinton impeached and made "Sore Loserman" a household name.
