Boston Liberals Holding Pre-Wake for Kerry Campaign
WTKK Radio

On today's Braude and Eagan Show (WTKK Radio, Boston's premier FM talk radio), they were holding a post-mortem on the Kerry candidacy. I know it's way too early for such a conclusion, but I was struck at the bitterness the liberal hosts were showing about Kerry's failure as a candidate two months before the election.
They gave the standard lines -- "Bush is a moron... he lied about Iraq... he deserted from the Texas Air National Guard ... he's a closet drinker... the Iraq War is the New Vietnam... etc." But they were almost as harsh on Kerry: "He can't take a stand on any issue... he only reacts... he failed to counter the evil lies of the Swift Boat Vets... he's changing his campaign staff in desperation... he's the worst candidate in public they've ever seen... etc."
Liberal Boston is beginning to believe that Kerry will lose the election. Most interesting.

Perception is everything. We should encourage the perception that Kerry is a loser. But we still need to turn out on election day to counteract Democratic voter fraud!

Nothing would give me greater satisfaction than to see John "'Effin'" Kerry lose his own home state to President Bush in November.

I heard Mike Barnacle and Bob Lobel at 10:00 a.m. this morning.
Same story
Talking about Kerry as if he were dead.
The only time I've actually enjoyed the show.

The Boo-ing of the Kerry girls at the VMAs says it all.I'm not sure, those idiots probably thought they were boo-ing the Bush twins.

The anti-Bush crowd is just beginning to enter the five stages of grief over the death of Kerry's campaign.
The first stage, denial, is still where most are, judging by what I read and what's posted at DU.

Where did you get this?
Just curious. I usually listen to that station, but not until later in the day. Braude believe it or not seems to be a very congenial fellow, but he is an absolute socialist and as liberal as they come on talk radio.
Margery is difficult to discern but she writes a regular column in the Boston Herald. I can never figure her out. I have come to assume that she is simply meant for a female audience. I do not wish to be a sexist, but I simply can not ever understand her.

If this is the Boston feeling Kerry is not only toast as a presidential candidate, but he is toast as a Senator - especially if he does not win. When the left turns on their own - it gets ugly.

But they were almost as harsh on Kerry: "He can't take a stand on any issue..."
And that is the Death Knell.
Americans instinctively know that they cannot count on JF'nK to say what he means, and do what he says.

Kerry was booed in Ohio over the weekend at a rally with 3,500 people and over 50 percent were booing him.

That's the new DNC view, I think. I was struck by the dems on the Sunday talk shows this weekend. Mostly focused on who will run in 2008.

Barnicle the blowhard. I miss Pat Whitley. He is gone but 2 weeks, and I am actually starting to consider sports radio.

This whole Kerry campaign really reminds me of the Republicans in '96. It's sort of the defeated feeling of, "Well, it's the best we could do, but yeah, it's hopeless."

Nothing would give me greater satisfaction than to see John "'Effin'" Kerry lose his own home state to President Bush in November. Me, too, but after all this is the state that routinely elects giants such as Teddy, Barney Frank, Gerry Studds, etc., so I don't hold out much hope.
