RUDY ROCKS!
It was a great speech. If he wants to run in 08, he is going to be tough.
Rudy's speech took my breath away. Sad, heartfelt and very funny. He really did a great job at describing how indecisive and flip floppy sKerry is and has been for his entire political career.

Too bad for Jeb, but America will be Bushed by 2008.

I got chills when September 11 was mentioned - which I know was the theme of the evening. But - so many times during Rudy's speech - I got chills - remembering and bringing it all back.
Why? we have only had a Bush on the ticket for six of the last seven elections.
He was AWESOME! He was obviously in his element and did an outstanding job. I agree, he'll be a tough one to beat in '08 if he wants it.
Exactly....I was so impressed with him...he gets an A+...he nailed it...I give McCain a B. Rudy in 08.
This was an out of the park home run. The campaign has officially begun and it is clear that John Kerry's Senate record is going to be a hot topic of discussion. So many great lines in this speech and he hit on all the themes that show the differences between the Dims and W. Go Rudy!
That's probably one of the main reasons you didn't watch it on the "alphabet networks" and won't read much about it in the paper tomorrow.....they don't want us to remember.

I could be wrong, 4 years from today, but I have a gut feeling that Jeb isn't that interested in running. Not enough 'fire in the belly'. Neither Condi. It may just well be Rudy. Odd that in Aug/early Sept 2001, people were more interested in Rudy's love life than his leadership skills. What a difference 3 years makes.

Thank you for posting this transcript of Rudy's brilliant speech. I sure wish everyone in the US was tuned in tonight to see and hear him give it, but I'm sure only a fraction of Americans were watching, unfortunately.

Rudy was awesome. And he's a remarkable leader who'd make a formidable candidate for any office. But no matter how many positives he brings to the table, it is very difficult to see how any pro-choice Republican could win the nomination.
