The discovery comes after al Sadr officially handed over control of Najaf's Imam Ali shrine.
A representative of Grand Ayatollah Ali al Sistani confirmed the handover as militia loyal to al Sadr handed in their weapons after a peace deal to end the crisis in Najaf.
Thousands of Iraqi Shi'ites have been marching to the shrine to show their support for Ayatollah al Sistani.
The ayatollah had returned to the southern holy city to negotiate the peace deal after medical treatment in London.
Al Sadr agreed to Ayatollah al Sistani's call for his supporters to lay down their arms.

That would be an exaggeration, if sadly only a slight one. The U.S. (Coalition Provisional Authority, before the transfer of sovereignty) closed down Al Sadr's newspaper on the grounds that it repeatedly violated the single proviso place on journalistic freedom in Iraq: agitating for violence against the Coalition and/or Iraqi leaders.
In an NPR interview, Kerry claimed this was wrong because Sadr was "a legitimate voice".
We need to be single-minded in our determination to kill that foul SOB. Special Ops should be hunting him down like a dog and NEVER let up until he's dead. I don't care if the UN someday invites him onto the floor of the General Assembly (they've done crazier things), if he appears, he should be shot dead right there in front of the whole world.

he is free and will not be charged "legally", but will be tried and found guilty by the blood feud addicts of islam.
The relatives of the 25 dead, no doubt loyal to sistani and the provisional government livning in proximity to city of Najaf... will not be bound by the "freedom decree" by the governmnent regarding the fat ass murderor of innocent islamics in their own family.

To be honest, I'm afraid of our basement at the church. It has recently flooded and was an old, moldy place long before I arrived. That's why we're building a new building.
When we tear it down, no telling how many bodies might come floating to the top.
There might even be a few skeletons rattling a few closets in that old building.
