That's the first I've seen of the Gallup numbers. 48 Bush 46 Kerry is actually an improvement for Kerry of 4 points.

Depends on the internals and partisan weighing. The most important breakdown to measure trends, IMHO, is the independents. We'll have to see those later as these articles doesn't include the breakdowns.

Actually, I think Kerry dropped a point and Bush dropped three points from 50 - 47 to 48 - 46.

I think the official Gallup poll of likely voters was 50/47 Bush.

Actually, the last three Gallup Polls have had Bush over Kerry 50-47. These numbers are the CNN/Gallup poll, which has different numbers from the independent Gallup Poll.
