I hope O'Neill is going to sue the headline writer for libel. The writer of the story is very careful not to accuse O'Neill of lying, but not so for the headline writer.
Harold Ickes at the helm............
I also hope that O'Neill slaps a suit on Yahoo so fast it makes their head spin. Let them know there are some consequences to their lying slime.
You cannot sue for libel. The whole "sue for libel" business is nonsense. Nobody involved in this whole controversy is going to sue for libel, and no one who did so would win. To threaten to do it, or to invitee the other side to do it, is wasting everybody's time.
O'Neill did score some rhetorical points by stating specific "facts" and then saying "let Kerry sue me for libel if this fact is not true" after each specific fact, but as bright and successful lawyer he surely knows that it would never happen.
Headline brought to you by the same people who don't know what the definition of "is" is.
WEll I SURE HOPE HE SUES THEM......and I think it would be a great time for Freepers to let YAHOO NEWS know just what we THINK!!!!!Anyone know where we can contact them??
This is how the media does it these days. It is one of the most despicable new forms of trash journalism.
Sometimes, like on FR, titles are changed for effect. But in the MSM it should not be done as it guides opinion.
News should be disseminated and not colored for effect. We should do this here as well, as we have a national audience.
I hope O'Neill is going to sue the headline writer for libel. And the Associated Press. This is way, way, waaaaaay over the top, even for the leftstream media. |
most people only read the headlines. gets the point across very well.
