Neither Bush Nor Kerry Understand U.S. Women -Surveys

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Most American women -- especially those who haven't decided who to pick for president -- don't feel that President Bush (news - web sites) or John Kerry (news - web sites) understand them, pollsters and independent experts said on Tuesday.

"Overall, we found that neither Bush nor (Sen.) Kerry seems to be connecting with women, especially young women and undecided voters," said Meredith Wagner of Lifetime Television, which surveyed women's attitudes about the election in July.

About half of the 1,000 women surveyed said neither presidential candidate can relate to them or their lives, and fewer than 10 percent said either Kerry, a Democrat, or Bush, a Republican, understands them well, Wagner told reporters at a telephone news briefing.

No woman has ever been U.S. president, though Geraldine Ferraro was the Democratic vice presidential nominee in 1984. The Lifetime survey found roughly 20 percent of young women think there will never be a woman president.

Women make up a disproportionately high share -- between 55 percent and 60 percent -- of U.S. undecided voters, according to Democratic pollster Celinda Lake and Republican pollster Vincent Breglio, who both spoke at the same briefing.

A Lifetime Television poll? The women who watch that type of programming aren't capable of making up their minds....they don't have one.

Lifetime? Barf-a-rama! I'm a woman who's seen, and connected with, plenty of Bush commercials, thanks to them being run on sports programming! ;)

Kirk: What did you do to her?

Nomad: That unit is defective. Its thinking is chaotic. Absorbing it unsettled me.

Kirk: That unit is a woman.

Nomad: A mass of conflicting impulses.

"Neither Bush nor Kerry understand U.S. Women."

Wow...a rare non-partisan area of agreement is at last reached. But who does? I'd like to sign up for their lectures...

About half of the 1,000 women surveyed said neither presidential candidate can relate to them or their lives . . . .

LOL, most of the liberal women I've met can't even relate to themselves so why should anyone else bother.

Women are nuts. Who the hell understands them? Fortunately, we can't live without them.

Bridge to Hawaii

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. All of a sudden he said out loud, "Lord grant me one wish."

At once the sky clouded above his head and in a booming voice the Lord said, "Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish"

The man said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii, so I can drive over anytime I want to."

The Lord said, "Your request is very materialistic. Think of the logistics of that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of another wish, a wish you think would honor and glorify me."

The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, my wife says that I am uncaring and insensitive. I wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel inside, what they are thinking when they give me the silent treatment, why they cry, what they mean when they say "nothing", and how I can make a woman truly happy."

After a few minutes God said, "You want two lanes or four on that bridge?"

As usual, this "poor women are misunderstood by mean men, boohoo" attitude is pure leftist bunkum (and note that only half of women felt that way, the liberal half I'll bet). If you want to look at a real working marriage, look at President Bush and his treatment of Laura, versus the poseur sKerry and his treatment towards the women/bank accounts in his life.

All women should be disgusted with sKerry's cavalier treatment of women, his wives (both of them), his arrogance and ignorance on issues of freedom, security, dignity, and integrity. He should apologize to the American people for his utter disregard for the issues that matter while he plays out his old VN fantasies.

Just last night, Mrs. B told me why Kerry's commercials were a flop.
( This is the self described "New Deal Democrat" I married who recently registered to vote Republican... took me 19 years to do it, but I prevailed )

"He told me everything wrong with with Bush... what he didn't tell me was why I should vote for him..."

Senator Hillary is the only man who understands women and their basic needs.
