USAir is hanging by a thread financially.
Their solvency is seriously in question--bankruptcy/liquidation is a real possibility.
Continental is in much better shape fincially, but then again, in the airline industry--that's not saying a whole lot.

I hear ya. I just hope they both hold on until December so I can get rid of some of these FF miles.

I second that. If you do fly USAir, make sure that you buy your ticket with a credit card (not a debit card), that it is a trip of short duration (improving the chance that they won't stop flying between your departure and return), and that you pre-plan how you will get home if stranded.
