Hispanic LA gang members accused of killing black man

Federal hate crime charges were filed against four Hispanic members of a street gang who allegedly terrorized black residents and killed an African-American man, it was announced Friday. A federal grand jury indictment handed up on Aug. 11 accuses the men of conspiracy and firearm and civil rights violations, including the April 1999 death of Kenneth Wilson, 38, who was shot in Highland Park.

All four could face the death penalty if convicted.

The four were members of the Avenues 43 gang and are accused of committing "one of the most heinous crimes - murdering someone simply because of his skin color," U.S. Attorney Debra Yang said.

Why is that more "heinous" than murdering someone for any other reason?

Shouldn't we try to look at it from another angle: would you (admittedly ad hominem example) miss them? If these gang members are disappeared, wouldn't it be for the better?

And the fun thing. This goes into the statistics as a "White" on "Black" hate crime.

They can only count it as a hate crime if they call the hispancs "whites" which they usually do when reporting crime statistics. It's kind of neat the way they do it --- for affirmative action programs they turn from being white to being hispanics --- a poor underprivileged minority group, but for crime they turn from being that to being white again.

I think murdering someone over their skin color would be more heinous than murdering them for some other reasons --- at least in some murders there was some reason --- fear, anger, jealousy or even money.

Obviously, PC thinking says everyone is not equal under the constitution. Some have higher status by being born non-white. And illegal aliens have more benefits under the law than US citizens. Look for blacks to blame whites for the Hispanic hate crime wave against them. Or, it's Bush's fault.
