John Kerry, the richest man to ever seek the presidency

According to Forbes, a presumably relatively unbiased source, he would be the 4th-richest President, following George Washington, JFK and Andrew Jackson. Of course, comparing wealth between different historical periods is notoriously full of pitfalls.

However, it is reasonably clear that George Washington was the wealthiest man in North America when he risked it all for independence.

I think we can prove that Kerry and them dems are controlling these 527 groups.

Check out the evidence: (1) all have palaces in the same exclusive gated communities, (2) they all stable most of their polo ponies at the same private farms, (3) they all "slip in" across the Canadian border household staff from the same tribe in the the Philippines, chefs from the same cooking scool in Switzerland and Japanes gardeners from the same area near Sao Paolo, Brazil, (4) they all keep their large, deep water yachts at the same dry dock/ship yard in Rhode Island, (5) they all play very high stakes cards in the same private casinos in NYC and Las Vegas, and (6) most of them belong to the same kinkey sex club that has branches in several cities.

When the NYT does it's complex chart on the close relationships between all the folks, the illegalities will be obvious.

The title brought to mind a T-shirt design I used to see back in college:

It'd be fun to wear one to a kerry edwards rally.

“The President has condemned all of the ads by the shadowy groups. We have called on Senator Kerry to join us in calling for an end to all the unregulated soft money activity that is going on in this campaign. And the President has stayed focused on the issues and the choices that the voters face. That's what this ought to be about.” (SOURCE: White House spokesman Scott McClellan, Aug. 19, 2004)

I wish McClellan gave a stronger, snappier sound bite. Something which mentions the numbers: Kerry's allies have given $60 million so far to defeat Bush, while the Swift Boat ads have cost less than a million.
