That's one weak press release. They tried to say too many things and it makes them appear to be flailing and wounded.

Agreed, it was a pretty sophomporic response. Next we will probably hear: "I'm only going to say this one time. I did not have improper medals from my Vietnam service. Now I have to get back to the business of running for president..."

On C-SPAN today, the outgoing liberal Democrat lieutenant governor of MO predicted that the Kerry-Edwards ticket will win MO and therefore the election. He said that Kerry now leads GWB by 3 points in MO. Four of the five largest cities in MO are liberal: KC, St. Louis, Independence, and Columbia. Only Springfield is conservative, and Kerry is believed to be strong in the Ozarks in comparison to Mondale and Dukakis earlier.
