I think it's funny they never complain when Micky Moore or 60 Minutes, cut and paste for effect.
The DNC's newest ad superimposed RAT comments over the Swift boat ad. Should be illegal.
It was superimposed over the OLD Swift Boat ad. And yes, it had the guy who fell overboard (Rassmann for Kerry's side)
I don't have a link for the RATs ad. Wouldn't dirty up my computer with it.

Just repeating what the VVAW had learned? As leader of that particular 1971 band of brothers, wasn't he responsible for what it was putting out? Was it then as now, his speech writers put it in; he really had told them to remove the parts he didn't like, but they hadn't?

We all know about the swift boat ads, but most people still haven't heard about it. The Seattle PI ran a front page article about the new ad, though, a surprisingly balanced article for the Seattle paper.

On C-SPAN today, the outgoing liberal Democrat lieutenant governor of MO predicted that the Kerry-Edwards ticket will win MO and therefore the election. He said that Kerry now leads GWB by 3 points in MO. Four of the five largest cities in MO are liberal: KC, St. Louis, Independence, and Columbia. Only Springfield is conservative, and Kerry is believed to be strong in the Ozarks in comparison to Mondale and Dukakis earlier.

JOHN KERRY'S presidential campaign, which slighted Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites) during the Democratic convention last month, now wants the former first lady to lead its "truth squad" at next week's GOP convention, The Post has learned.
Party insiders said that aides to Clinton were engaged in "intensive talks" over the weekend with Kerry's representatives about the role she is expected to play.
"It will be high profile; she will be one of the responders at the convention, probably focusing on homeland security issues," said a source familiar with the talks. "I think it's fair to say the Kerry people realize Mrs. Clinton could be very effective."
Another insider said, "It's ironic that after they snubbed her in Boston, they now want to use her in New York." ...(Snip)
