He has close-cut black hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. Authorities took 34-year-old David Juarez Martinez into custody in connection with the boy's disappearance. Police believe Puerta is with a 20-year-old Hispanic male in a red Chevrolet Tahoe with NC license plate SSP-8932. If you see this vehicle or the two individuals, you are asked to contact authorities.
