If you have a pet bird, and cook with a new teflon pan, your bird may drop dead. I know this is true. My friend's annoying bird bought it because of this.

Oops. I forgot to mention that it doesn't take a cooking pan, either. Newer irons are also coated with teflon and can also kill pet birds.

And I'm wearing a shirt with teflon it. Its great in that I can typically pull it out of the dryer and not have to iron, and if I do its one quick pass and its perfectly done.

Downside is that oil based stain (like salsa) are near impossible to get out.
