Excerpt from a type-written journal kept by John F. Kerry during his tour of duty in the Vietnam War:
... It's cool now and the evening has closed around you to become full night. The night for once is comforting and you take a coke and some peanut butter and jelly and go up on the roof of the cabin whit your tape recorder and sit for a while, quietly, watching flares float silently through the sky and flashes announce disquieting intent somewhere in the distance. You call down to one of your men and ask him to draft a message to the Admiral in Command of all Naval Forces in Vietnam and also to the Commander of Market Time. IT says "Merry Christmas from the most inland Market Time unit." You hope that they'll court marshal you or something because that would make sense. But the night soothes everything and the people and things that are close to you dart through the mind and bring the only warmth and peace that there is. Visions of sugar plums really do dance through your head and you think of stockings and snow and roast chestnuts and fires with birch logs and all that is good and warm and real. It's Christmas Eve.

You'll notice that there is no mention of Cambodia in this account. Of course, who knows when it was really written.
Anyway, we already know that Democrats lie to their diaries.

Okay, first of all thank God for the veterans who are briging to light all of Kerry's lies regarding his Military Service. Now, all of the info that has come to light about his Purple Hearts, his Swift Boat command, being asked to leave Viet Nam by his superiors, and now this "Christmas in Cambodia" thing, etc., etc., etc. HOW DO WE CAPITALIZE ON THIS? Someone needs to put all of this material into a "digest" form and then we need to find a way to get the truth out to the American people. The American people are not going to by the "Unfit.." book as wonderful as it is. They need an abbreviated version either vocally or in writing. One thing about Americans; they are very tolerant and forgiving people, BUT WE DON'T LIKE TO BE LIED TO.

Kerry keeps saying that Bush misled the country to war and that he lied.
He says that he would NEVER do this.
YET!!!
He LIED during his senate hearings while a member of the anti-war gang.
He LIED as a Senator about "Christmas in Cambodia".
WHY DID HE LIE?
He lied to the country both times so he could MISLEAD the country in a direction he thought was best.
He can't be trusted, but that's all too obvious isn't it.

Did you read it?
I assume you mean it doesn't place him in Cambodia when he later claimed to have been there. Not to be overly critical, but it does mention Cambodia--twice.

I am not defending Kerry, but there ARE dnc plants inside the Veteran's organizations who are highly skilled in methods of disgracing people.
*WE* were not supposed to be in Tahiland in late 1969 either, but we found ourselves standing in the middle of the Ho-Chi-Mihn trail one day. You've never seen four Marines run so fast BACK to where we came from either.
We did not want to be caught out there by EITHER side!

Market Time was the operation that changed the Swift Boat mission from being strictly coastal to going into the rivers. Kerry bellyached about it constantly, it would seem.
When he signed up to be a Swiftee, it was a safe gig. But with Market Time, it became dangerous. Hence his desire to be "court martialed" or anything to get him out of there.
The main water route to Cambodia is exactly where Kerry's assignment was, not IN Cambodia. Kerry's assignment was to patrol the waters of that supply route up to 50 miles from the Cambodian border. He would have been violating orders had he strayed beyond that.
"Towards Cambodia" is quite a different kettle of fish from being in Cambodia. According to the Swiftees (which include his commanding officers all the way up the chain of command) Kerry was fifty miles away from Cambodia.
Compare his journal entry with what he told the Boston Herald years later:
"I remember spending Christmas Eve of 1968 five miles across the Cambodian border being shot at by our South Vietnamese allies who were drunk and celebrating Christmas. The absurdity of almost being killed by our own allies in a country in which President Nixon claimed there were no American troops was very real."
Did he lie to his diary or to the Boston Herald? Was he sitting on the roof of his hut eating peanut butter and watching flares on Christmas Eve? Or was he being shot at by the Khmer Rouge (LOL)?
