Statement by U.S. Senator Kit Bond (R-MO) Regarding John Kerry's record
George W. Bush ^ | August 5, 2004

Posted on 08/05/2004 12:04:25 PM PDT by RWR8189

U.S. Senator Kit Bond (R-MO) today issued the following statement:

“John Kerry says he wants Americans to judge him by his record, but doesn’t say that his record is one of hostility to the whole concept of intelligence. John Kerry’s record includes missing 38 out of 49 public Senate Intelligence Committee hearings and supporting billions of dollars in cuts to the intelligence budget. When the Clinton Administration was cutting intelligence funding, Kerry even proposed a further $1 billion cut to intelligence and seventy-five Senators, including his more conservative colleague Ted Kennedy, voted against him.”

I wonder why in four days of convention about Kerry, they spent no time on Kerry's lovely 20-year record in the Senate. They spent more time talking about Kerry riding a bike in his childhood then on his Senate record.

Watching the Dem convention, you would have never even known Kerry ever did anything during the last 20 years in the Senate.

finally someone is addressing all the holes in Kerry's diatribes. He has no credibility with his attendance record and his voting record with the military.

give him enough rope, he will hang himself.--(despite the media's attempts to shield us from the truth).

The 20 year voting record will be saved for the debates when everybody will be paying attention.

There is a time for everything. Bush & company have it completely mapped out. Bush will run a very disciplined campaign just like he did in 2000.

Here is the link to support the $1 Billion recission statement: Deficit Reduction Act of 1994 S.1826 (the 103rd Congress), section 301. In fact, since the bill also capped the intelligence budget at an inflation-adjusted current level, it was easily $5 Billion pulled out (Section 1301). Also, look at the other sections of that bill to see the other programs Kerry tried to kill.

It is fascinating to watch a WHOLE DEMOCRAT presidential campaign RUN on the Democrat candidate's 4 months of questionable service in a WAR that he protested and in which he admitted to committing war crimes. IF the qualification to be commander-in-chief is 4 months of service in Vietnam then we have millions of qualified candidates.

Dump KERRY, he is a DISGRACE!!

John Edwards will soon come out and cry about negative campaigning. His wife will soon be on her 100th Wendys Triple of the day.

<sarcasm>Which is why we need ten more commercials commenting on Kerry's war record. </sarcasm>

It seems much more effective to do commercials pointing at Kerry's flipper stance on everything. Pick an issue, show how Kerry voted for both sides of it, and at the end, ask the voters what they think Kerry will decide to do tomorrow.
