Do you know all the facts, Sen. McCain?
I've been listening to Lucianne Goldberg (sp?), who is filling in for Laura Ingraham...most of the last hour has been focused on the Swift Vets ad...though I didn't hear about McRINO's comments until now.
The thought I had, while exercising prior to work, is that in 2000, to my recollection, George W. Bush did not make his service in the Texas Air National Guard the cornerstone of his campaign for the Presidency. John Kerry IS making his Vietnam service the cornerstone for his campaign.
If Kerry is going to do that, then questions about his service and record are fair game.
Put aside, for the moment, the fact that he threw his medals/ribbons over the White House fence (then lied about it later, and accused the WH of trying to smear him).
Put aside that he is trying to become President based on something that he denigrated (as well as the people who served there) almost as soon as he got back from Vietnam.
None of this is even an issue, if Kerry doesn't MAKE it an issue. And really, what in the world else does Kerry REALLY have to run on? His ultra-liberal 19 years in the Senate?
By the way, as someone posted, I never heard McRINO denounce the efforts to denigrate the service of President Bush, either in the 2000 campaign or any time since.
By the way (part 2), did not the Breck Girl say on the stump, or at the "reinvention convention" (both are boring), "If you want to get to know John Kerry, spend 3 minutes with those who served with them"...
And now that those who DID serve with him, are speaking out against him, McRINO blames it on the White House? That's like a bully who picks a fight, and then runs away...and you know that the majority of the media is not going to help.
Memo to Kerry/Edwards/McRINO: Crap, or get off of the pot.
