Illegal immigrant apprehensions in Yuma area set record for July

Agents from the Yuma sector of the U.S. Border Patrol have apprehended more illegal aliens in the month of July than in any other July in the sector's history.

In one of the hottest months of the year, agents from the Yuma, Wellton and Blythe stations arrested and processed 10,773 aliens in the 31-day month, said Joe Brigman, spokesman for the Border Patrol's Yuma sector.

In recent years, apprehensions normally taper down when the hotter part of the summer arrives, Brigman said, but that has not been the case this year. In fact, the patrol has seen no signs that the number of alien entries in the Yuma area are going to decrease in August and September.

"Based on the continued number of entries and apprehensions so far for May, June and July, there are no indicators that it's tapering off," Brigman said. "If anything, it's increasing."

Because of the increased alien entries and apprehensions in July, the Yuma sector has received more manpower and resources to better handle the higher number of entries and apprehensions in the area, Brigman said.

In the month of July, eight bodies of migrants were found dead in the Yuma sector, Brigman said, with four of them dying from heat-related causes. Two of the aliens died from a motor vehicle accident where the vehicle they were in crashed into a Yuma canal. One of the deaths is the result of a suspected homicide in San Luis that police detectives are still investigating. And the eighth death is unknown as agents found skeletal remains in south Yuma County believed to be those of an illegal alien.

Also during the month of July, patrol agents rescued 28 aliens that could have died if agents did not find them in time, Brigman said.

"Had we not intervened in the situations, there's a high degree of probability that they would've either died or suffered grievous bodily injury," Brigman said.

The most recent alien rescue occurred on Saturday when agents from the Wellton station found six illegal immigrants about 20 miles south of Tacna in the open desert about 6:30 a.m., Brigman said. Aliens in the group told agents they were in the desert since July 29. They added that five other aliens were walking north toward lights they could see in Tacna to get some water because all 11 of them were suffering from dehydration.

Agents then began search and rescue efforts to locate the missing aliens. About two hours later, agents found the group a few miles to the north, Brigman said.

Brigman said the aliens were about 18 miles south of I-8 and the town of Tacna where they could get assistance. Because of the hot summer day and their lack of water, Brigman said their chances of survival would have been slim.

"Given the condition of the individuals, their location, lack of water and daytime temperatures forecasted to reach 110 degrees," Brigman said, "it is highly probable that without intervention by agents patrolling the area, most, if not all, of the subjects would have been at a high risk of losing their lives."

Not one of these candidates in this "Two-Party Cartel" will talk about this issue. Along with not calling the terrorists Muslims just shows how we are failing this war. How many of you will support ANY administration that does NOT protect you to the fullest.
Here is a read about why we are losing it. Political correctness outweighs our security..http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?print=yes&id=4694

Too bad Yuma didn't tell us how many of 10,000 plus were previously deported criminals trying to re-enter the US.

This from the Tucson sector reports they are catching about 1000 a month that already have US criminal records.

No matter which apprehension figures you use this means some 3-5 thousand criminals are making it thru just ONE sector of our southern border EVERY MONTH.

"Since Oct. 1, 2003, through Sunday, 9,051 illegal immigrants with criminal records have been apprehended in the Tucson Sector. Of that amount 137 had records of sexual offense,"

Agents from the Yuma sector of the U.S. Border Patrol have apprehended ... 10,773 aliens in the 31-day month of JULY.

A. How big is the Yuma sector? That's just ONE sector along the border.

B. We only catch maybe 1/5th to 1/10th of those that cross. That means 43,092 - 96,957 illegal aliens MADE IT ACROSS OUR BORDER... IN THE YUMA SECTOR ALONE... IN THE MONTH OF JULY !!

If only one half of one percent of those were OTM's (Other Than Mexican), that means 215 - 485 OTM's made it across, just in the Yuma sector, and just in the month of July 2004.

Multiply that by how many sectors? Multiply that by 12 months per year? Multiply that by how many YEARS have they been infiltrating??????????????

Officials Fear Terrorists Could Try to Enter U.S. Through Mexico

I have been posting on other threads about the documentary I watched at least two months ago.  It was along the Arizona or New Mexico border.  They interviewed a border patrol and his wife who live on this side of the border.

The said THOUSANDS are coming across the border every NIGHT!  And they are NOT Mexican's.  The woman said that they find the prayer rugs and books of the Kharan in their yard on a daily basis.

This is the last I have heard about this.  Now..........Officials FEAR? Terrorists Could? try to enter U.S. BORDERS?  They must not want to create mass panic, because folks, this has been happening for months!

Yup, a majority of Americans want to see a reduction in immigration - legal and illegal - and yet both major parties are in a race to see which one can tear down our borders the fastest! No wonder so many people don't bother voting.

Some of my critics are correct about one thing: Withholding your vote is one more up for Kerry.

It is not a "choice between the lesser evil" when you consider a Kerry administration would encourage fule-scale terrorism in our homeland and appoint a raft of liberal activist judges who'd bend over forward (and grab their ankles) for those terrorists' "right" to explosively express themselves.

Those judges would also see our remaining rights degrade far faster than they would under a Republican administration.

If you can't vote for the man vote for the homeland.

In recent years, apprehensions normally taper down when the hotter part of the summer arrives, Brigman said, but that has not been the case this year.

The so-called "humanitarian" groups let them down. They boldly advertised that they would be setting up water stations, dropping water bottles and supplies to them. They lured them to come over in the hottest part of the desert --- only to fail to deliver. The lying humanitarians led the illegals to believe they would be out there helping them, providing them aid --- but liberals are like that --- they're obviously not going to be in the hot heat trying to save anyone's life.

Mexico lets these guys out of jail, hands them a map and compass and says, 'Vaya con Dios, head north, my son. Send money if you get lucky.'

Mexico !! I've got news for you.....we have US judges doing the same thing with mexican child molesters in the USA.

If the molesters agree to *voluntary deportation* & I guess, *promise* not to come back to the USA they receive NO JAIL TIME here.

Yeah, but few Americans list immigration as a top priority. Its rarely in the top ten when polls are taken of voters concern. The reason is that when demographics change in a neighborhood, people b-tch for a day and then move away and on to other issues like health care, education, socialist security, etc.

Voting Constitution Party is exactly what I was thinking this year. Assuming they are on the ballot in Maryland.

A vote for 3rd Party is NOT a vote for Kerry if you live in a state that is solidly "red" or "blue." I live in Maryland, and there is no way Bush will get our electoral votes. So why should I encourage bad behavior and vote for Presidente Jorge Arbusto? By voting 3rd Party, I register my disgust with the Republicrats and don't lose a moment's sleep.

My decision would be a lot harder if I lived in a hotly contested state.

Good point- my state (Tennessee) is always teetering and I didn't take liberal bastions into account. Congratulations on choosing an excellent alternative. I reread their platform at least once a week and try to get the word out locally. If a third party achieved enough popular backing the primary ones would be forced to reform or face extinction.
