My parents live in his district (Portsmouth) and I know they will be supporting Winsome Sears.
If yer like me, you live in a safe Congressional district wherein yer conservative GOP Congressperson--mine happens to be DeputyWhip Eric Cantor--rarely must withstand a serious challenge from a DemonRAT. However, in exchange fer this virtual monoply on House seats the VA GOP presently enjoys, there are a few gerrymandered districts designed to be a safe DemonRAT seat. Virginia's 3rd District is one such area, and Bobby Scott has been the beneficiary of the GOP's lack of competitiveness in this district. Winsome Sears is just the lady to upset this comfortable little applecart!!
If yer in her district, I urge you to vote fer her and let yer neighbors know the good she can do for your district. Face it, the GOP Majority in the House of Representatives becomes increasingly solidified with every passing election!! Socialist cry-babies like Bobby Scott are out of power and probably will remain so as long as they are inhabiting the seat!! On the other hand, Ms. Sears is a strong--ex-Marine--hard-working leader-type, who promises to be a player in the national GOP mix!! When I first met Ms. Sears, she reminded me a lot of Condi Rice...yep, she's THAT impressive!!
If yer not in Ms. Sears' district, any assistance you can provide--volunteering, donations, putting out the word, etc--will be greatly appreciated!! And if we can hustle and help make this campaign come alive over the next three months, you will have been a big part in making a difference in the Congressional balance of power!!

I hope all of you will consider attending to show her your support.
As far as the UCV efforts it went quite well til the big storm blew up which delayed the concert.
As far as Pat Benatar's performance....I'm just gonna bite my tongue. Half the show was acoustic. Pat Benatar...acoustic. 'Nuf said.
Invincible was probably the best number and she dedicated it to the Troops & the fallen of 911 and the crowd loved it.
