Nice definition. I did 23 years in, retired as a full Commander, and if I had gotten charged every time I questioned the intelligence of one of my superiors then I would have done most of that 23 years in Portsmouth. Leave the grunt alone.

"...if I had gotten charged every time I questioned the intelligence of one of my superiors then I would have done most of that 23 years in Portsmouth..."And, so, Commander, how many times did you go on national television or an international movie, in uniform, and display your feelings in an insubordinate manner, informing your superiors .. and the world .. that, if given a particular order, you were going to disobey it?
Mumbling and grumbling to your peers about the inadequacies of your superiors is an age-old military custom. How many times did you make such complaints aloud in the presence of your subordinates?
I'm assuming that you weren't stupid enough to do so since you did make your 23. This Marine NCO should have known better.

How many propaganda films did you appear in while in uniform, squid? Just because you skated and got away with being a mouthy, sh*tbird, zero, lifer doesn't mean Henderson should get away with being a mouthy, sh*tbird NCO.

Leave the grunt alone. Anyone walking side-by-side with MM in uniform is not trying to be 'left alone'. He is fair game.

If you retired as a Commander, why did we have to tell you about Article 134?

If you would tolerate that kind of action from a man under your command your were, in this retired 1sg's opinion, a sorry officer and a sorrier commander. You are unfit to say you wore the uniform and did not deserve the salutes you recieved.

Congrats on your 23 yrs. . .and given you have 23 yrs you should know the difference between private expressions of opinion and public expressions of contempt, intent to violate orders, and so on. First Amendment rights are severely abridged in the military, but you already knew that. In fact, you are prohibited to engage in political campaigns or activities while identifying yourself as a member of the military. As a member of the military, and represented as such, you are representing the ENTIRE DOD, not yourself.
If this yahoo wanted to appear in this movie, he could have, as you know, but NOT uniformed--or otherwise identified--as an active-duty member of the military.
But you already knew that. . .the post was for general edification.
