Following the money trail, the Times report states that we pay more than $7 billion annually to educate the children of illegal aliens,

Not even close.

The cost to educate the consequences of 50 years of illegal immigration in California alone is approximately 1/3 the annual education budget or about $10B.

Anchor babies and their progeny are flooding California's primary schools. In March 2003, for the first time in history, 50% of the births in California were to Hispanic parents, principally of Mexican ancestry and of those approximately 85% could trace their residency to illegal immigration since 1950.

Well said and that's been my point for a long time. Illegals that rob, rape and murder innocent Americans are just as much a terrorist as the 9/11 perpetrators. Ask any family that has been traumatized by an assault on a loved one by some cretin that shouldn't even here if their pain is any less than those of the 9/11 families....doubt anyone would find much of a difference.

Not to worry. La Raza and the like have the full attention of our government officials.

Not only do we need deportation, but I would like to see at least a little repatriation, as well.

Obviously these "undocumented workers" are NOT paying their fair share of our nation's infrastucture costs, to include BUILD and MAINTENANCE costs.

What happens when there's too many people and not enough infrastructure? Look at any third-world country for the answer to that question.

You probably already heard that traffic congestion in LA dropped DRAMATICALLY when the illegals were afraid of getting caught and therefore weren't going out.

What a frick'n joke Presidente Jorge is by saying he is concerned with the security of our country by increasing the budget of INS and Border Security ... his White House website is even available in "En Espanol" ... for the convenience and comfort of the Illegal Aliens who are up here stealing from our poorest LEGAL citizens and flagrantly breaking our laws.

Dubya has renamed the Border Patrol, et. al. So he is busy doing something. For instance, the officers at the border no longer have to take the illegals to the judge. That little move will facilitate matters significantly.

Also, Bush must get re-elected. That means some Latino vote. So it makes the issue a bit sticky.
