The Bush administration could have put a complete stop on 'Express Visas' before 9/11. They didn't. They didn't stop the program after 9/11, either. They just allowed the State Dept. to change the name.

That was a good article. I don't quite agree with their position that we should switch budgets with the military action in the ME, though. Certainly we need to add more money to the border security budget, it's just how can we spend that money more efficiently?
I'm for putting up a wall. I don't know just how feasible a project like that would be, but it's worth looking into. We, as in the American government, should have been on top of this generations ago. As much as I loathe Clinton, he can't be blamed for the entire mess.
Better yet, defund the assistance programs, stop the free health care, schooling, and fire the bureaucracy that's there to roll out the red carpe. But, oh my that would be so mean. I should just shut up and pay my taxes.
How is this racist? The border bewteen us and Mexico isn't the only point where illegals breech our borders. Did you catch the story where they busted a sex slave smuggling ring...in Vermont? Those ladies were Asians. I wouldn't be surprised if they were brought here from Canada. Mexicans aren't the only ones coming here illegally.
Our number one issue at the moment is that Middle Easterners are being smuggled in the same way as the traditional peoples that make up illegal crossings. This is very bad news.

What a bunch of bull sh*t! The county sheriff is the highest law enforcement officer in each and every county in America, with more authority than any federal officer.
All that is required is for some sheriff to find his balls and start locking them up. Then he can call the INS and tell them to come and get them!

I wish I could clone my Sheriff and send him out all over the country. If you spot illegals here and call it in to the Border Patrol and get no action, the Sheriff's Department will roll on the call, snag them, and then raise unholy hell until the vans show up to transport the clientele back to the BP station for processing.

Here's the solution: Turn in an illegal to INS and get a check for $1000. Turn in five, $5000. 100? $100,000. Every legal citizen becomes a go-anywhere bounty hunter. Remember, they're here illegally, they've broken our laws, and they must be returned to their own country and apply for legal immigration like everyone else.
I'd say we'd fix the problem in about a week and it would cost no more than what we spend anyways on services. The bonus is that for each ensuing year, the U.S. saves $12 billion, or we plow that money into border patrol and/or a wall.
(By the way, with $12 billion you get 200,000 border patrol agents, each making $60K/year.)

I see no mention of race in Fiedor's comments. Only that some millions are here illegally from various parts of the world, are costing us a bundle, and count terrorists among them. All of these are facts.
He mentions Mexico only in the same sentence as Canada and in reference to borders in general. Nothing about race or religion.
