Singer Linda Ronstadt appears to have a "don't ask, don't tell" policy toward Republicans and Christians who might be in her audiences – she'd rather not know they are there.
In a recent interview with the San Diego Union-Tribune, the entertainer said:
"This is an election year, and I think we're in desperate trouble and it's time for people to speak up and not pipe down. It's a real conflict for me when I go to a concert and find out somebody in the audience is a Republican or fundamental Christian. It can cloud my enjoyment. I'd rather not know."
Ronstadt says she routinely dedicates a song in her concerts to leftist filmmaker Michael Moore, director of the anti-Bush movie "Fahrenheit 9/11." As WorldNetDaily reported, hundreds of fans at an Aladdin Hotel Las Vegas show over the weekend stormed out after she made a tribute to Moore. The incident, in which she also made disparaging remarks about the hotel and Las Vegas, caused her to be banned from the facility.
Christians don't like listening to you, Linda.
No problem, Linda. We'll help you out by not buying tickets to your shows or buying your records. That way you won't be conflicted and we won't have to listen to really old, tired music.
Given that it looks like she's recently eaten a few Christians, I guess she's saying she doesn't like singing for her supper.
Successful 60's types never grew up, the rest of us did, except of course the "professors" on campuses.
She doesn't mind taking our money tho. That's over.

Whoever said we pay for concert tickets for HER enjoyment? Her job is to sing, not enjoy herself! Do what you're being paid to do and shut-up!

Linda has a Christmas Album out and she claims she doesnt like Christians. I guess she just likes singing to emocrats and Atheists. I hope she gets her wish. For that matter I hope she goes back to slinging hash.
Her first album was titled "Silk Purse." I see she's actually STILL a "sow's ear" and just can't get to the silk purse level. A pig is a pig is a pig is a . . . . . . . .
