WASHINGTON – On Tuesday, July 20th from 2-4 pm the Islamic Free Market Institute Foundation (IFMIF) will host a viewing of Saddam’s Mass Graves at its Washington, DC offices. Members of the media are invited to the viewing, and discussion afterward with the film’s producer, Jano Rosebiani, and Ibrahim Razzouki, director of the Free Prisoners Association of Iraq.

The event is organized in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Since the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime, investigators began searching for mass graves at military bases and in the desert, looking for the bodies of their relatives and friends who disappeared in mass killings carried out under Saddam Hussein’s rule. And in the past year, more than 270 mass graves were reported and about 50 of them have been confirmed thus far to hold victims of mass killing. The bones tell a story of horror and shame. Arms bound together. Skulls pierced from behind women, children, and the elderly. Hundreds in one long trench.

The killings of Shiites, Kurds and Sunnis – and the killings of foreigners from Kuwait, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Iran -- took place in waves. Methodically, Saddam's forces destroyed villages, transferred women and children to detention camps and took away the men and boys in trucks -- some of them barefoot and naked – never to be seen again. Tens of thousands of people were taken far from their homes to distant camps in the desert where they were killed, buried by bulldozers under tons of sand. Survivor first hand accounts prove that this was not some random violence by out-of-control troops. This was systematic mass murder.

Jano Rosebiani, a participant in the discussion and expert on the mass killings of the repressive Iraq regime, has produced several critically-acclaimed documentaries on the subject. Most notable among these are Saddam’s Mass Graves and Chemical Ali.

The viewing and discussion will be held Tuesday July 20th from 2-4 pm at IFMIF offices, 1920 L Street NW, Suite 200. For more information, or to RSVP contact Nick Yawer: nick@ifmif.org or Tel: 202-955-7174 ext. 301.

"Saddam's Mass Graves" to be shown at 2pm in DC TODAY!"

Nothing to see here. Let us move along to the perils of Martha Stewart, will she get buggered with foriegn objects by Danbury butches?

Why waste the time? They are not interested in the truth. Plus it may make Bush look good. You know they do not want to do that.

I may get the names wrong...but I believe it was Jano Rosebiani (the producer) and
"Tamor" (sp?) a survivor of one of the mass killings that were guests on
The Micheal Medved Show yesterday (7-20-04).

Really. I hadn't noticed. /s

I surfed to O'Reilly tonight. Until he says just before a break. "We'll have an update...Peterson.... Hope you'll stay with us."

Guess again Bill. Back to "Batman".
