The AMC has a reputation of being more "moderate" than CAIR. Apparently, "moderation" is relative. If the AMC put me in charge, they would indeed be moderate. But I'm not in charge. And so it goes. Good research by the way.

Yes, a moderate islamist is the one who has run out of bullets.
During the Cold War the American left was populated with fellow travellers who routinely explained away the idea that the Soviet Union was a military threat to the West. A few of these fellow travellers were Soviet agents, but plenty of others were fools or moral idiots who swallowed Soviet propaganda regardless of how preposterous it was- Noam Chomsky would likely be a stellar example.
Now, during the Islamist War, or whatever it is we will end up calling this thing, the American right finds itself with an apologist reminiscent of the old Soviet fellow travellers. Norquist isn't going to let go of the big investment he's made in organizing Islamic PACs. He'll be a true believer like old Noam. It's going to be interesting to see how Grover's Establishment Beltway Conservative pals deal with him. I'm betting they won't cut him loose any faster than the old Establishment liberals did Alger Hiss.
