The Godless Americans Political Action Committee (GAMPAC) has formally endorsed John Kerry for President. The committee, that was formed in March, announced at a press conference that they represent nearly 30 million Americans that could translate into as many votes. Their website is: www.godlessamericans.org This endorsement of Kerry, by those who do not believe in God, and want to outlaw all references to God in public places, re-define marriage, make homosexuality the norm, advance a culture of vulgarity and kill all babies of inconvenience, [should not] come as a surprise. If elected, Kerry will fully represent them. Before this latest endorsement, it was widely reported that the Muslims also (both in America and overseas), have stated their support of Kerry as well, according to media reports. Since Muslims have made it clear that they plan to destroy America by any means and turn it into an Islamic nation, it could mean that [with] Kerry as the President of The United States, he would open the doors for them to carry out their mission. They seem to think so. Kerry's anti-American statements and actions have given Muslims new hope for accomplishing their goals. GAMPAC announced their endorsement of the Kerry-Edwards ticket on July 14, 2004. It is interesting to note on the bottom of their news release, this statement: "The GAMPAC supports and endorses Atheist candidates for public office." If Kerry really was a good Catholic, and sincere, as he would have all voters believe, he would never have received this endorsement from "Godless Americans." They know who he is. Bishops, take notice. The news release follows: "Mobilizing America's Nonbelievers for Political Activism" Godless Americans Group Announces Endorsement Of Kerry-Edwards July 14, 2004 A newly formed group encouraging political action on behalf of Godless Americans has announced that it is endorsing the Sen. John Kerry for president and Sen. John Edwards for vice president in the 2004 national elections. Ellen Johnson, Executive Director of the Godless Americans Political Action Committee, said that the Kerry-Edwards slate was the clear choice over President Bush, who has spent the last four years eroding the separation of church and state, packing the courts with judges who ignore the First Amendment, and imposing a de-facto Religion Tax through the federal faith-based initiative. Johnson said that the PAC grew out of the November, 2002 Godless Americans March on Washington that brought thousands of nonbelievers to the nations capitol for a rally on the mall. There are nearly 30 million Americans who describe themselves as having no religion, said Johnson. This includes Atheists, Freethinkers, Secular Humanists, Rationalists and others who have little or no voice in our political process, and who are often ignored by the major political parties. We intend to change that. Johnson pointed out that political hopefuls go out of their way to court voters in churches, mosques and temples and woo religious blocs of voters. Its time for them to wake up and realize that there is another bloc they have to start paying attention to, and this is secularists who believe in the separation of church and state, and are determined to stand up for their civil rights. Johnson said that the Kerry-Edwards slate was the best alternative to four more years of George Bush and Pat Robertson running the country. (The GODLESS AMERICANS POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (GAMPAC) is an educational and political initiative focusing on issues of concern to Atheists. The GAMPAC supports and endorses Atheist candidates for public office.) Reverend Austin Miles |
of course atheists support Kerry. They don't believe in anything and neither does Kerry, well that is what he will tell his cronies anyway. He can't hide the fact he said he is against gay marriage and he is catholic.
Now that's REAL AMERICAN VALUES!
Oughtta play real well in the Southern and Heartland stump speeches.
This atheist neither endorses Kerry nor GAMPAC (why did they put the M in there?)
And I most certainly have very definite beliefs.
The mindset that makes people dislike the church tends to make them dislike the state, as well. John Kerry is not a good choice for sincere anti-statists.
Good thing Christopher Dodd of CT. isn't running or they would be hard pressed to believe in Dodd.
Right. Their Atheism is a religion to them. They're zealots.
"...announced at a press conference that they represent nearly 30 million Americans that could translate into as many votes."
This 527 group comes into being in March and they have the audacity to claim that they now officially represent 30 million atheists, a number that confirms the fact that 90 percent of Americans believe in a Higher Power (non-denominational term.)
In the final analysis, I have no problem if someone wants to follow a path that involves no relationship with a higher power AS LONG as there is no attempt to deny the other 90% of their right to acknowledge a higher power even in a public school, institution or setting.
To those atheists that say, "We have a right and our children have a right to not be force-fed any notion of God" I say "Fine" then agree to bring schools back to the very basics - reading, writing, arithmetic - and help cut out the force-feeding of socialist dogma.
The fact that God will always be part of a school setting is probably best encapsuled by that oldie-but-goodie bumper sticker - "As long as there are tests there will always be prayer in school."
But they actually voted to believe in God before the didn't believe in Him.
Let me get this straight. First the communiists, now the atheists endorse Kerry. WTH%// ???? !! Tke this crap and have Kerry lead teh US through the UN and we are doomed.
This guy has to be defeated in November.
This atheist endorses George W. Bush.
Add this to yesterday's ping about Kerry's endorsement by the Communist Party and pass it along to your Dim relatives.
Let's not forget the largest and most damaging union of them all--the National Education Association!
I know I missed some.
