"I do not understand why her show still comes on daily here in my home town. I do not understand why KMart still promotes her products. I do not understand why she will stay one day a week in a prison cell."

There's one simple explanation:
She hasn't been shown to have done anything wrong.
Since they couldn't prove that her stock dealings were illegal, they decided to accuse her of misleading the first investigators to question her.

Now, for the "crime" of making a misleading reply while NOT under oath, NOT in the presence of her lawyer, she is financially ruined, can no longer be president of the company she founded, can't even vote (no doubt for John Kerry, so there IS a silver lining to this story), and probably will never make another TV show.

are those penalties harsh enough for you? Or are you like those Dimocrats who think any "rich" or successful person should be dragged out and shot?

All this anti-Martha nonsense is really just jihad against competence. The incompetent and the mediocre (or those who think there is some virtue in it) will always be ready to villify and destroy anyone they perceive as better than themselves. Some call it envy.

This case is class warfare at its best. The jury's decision makes me fear for this country!
