Lewisburg, Pennsylvania-AP -- A theater operator is offering Republicans the chance to see the movie, "Fahrenheit 9/11" for free. Eric Faden (FAY'den) of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, says he found that few of his conservative friends were watching the movie because they didn't want to support the film's director financially.
So on Saturday he's offering to buy tickets for any card-carrying Republicans who want to see it at a special showing.
Faden says he's not trying to convince anyone that director Michael Moore is right. He says the film is "fantastic" but also "fantastically flawed."
A local Republican leader is praising Faden for trying to open up the debate about the film.
However, Faden may not be able to fill his theater, even for free.
A C-N-N - U-S-A Today - Gallup poll finds that 63 percent of Republicans who were surveyed have no plans to see the movie.
Actually, it might be fun to see the movie in a theater full of republicans - bwhahahahaha! Kind of like watching a live version of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
I wouldn't watch the swill if Micael Moore promised to set his head on fire for me.
hey not a bad idea thats were all of moores movies should end up playing on mystery science 3000.
uhhhhh, by the card they send you when you send in your money to join the GOP.
Love MST3K!
I don't plan on seeing Moore's film, but a coservative talk radio guy was saying that conservatives should see it. After seeing it we will be determined more than ever to do all we can to support Bush.
