I don't see Ron Reagan anywhere. The primetime speakers are:
Mon: Gore, Carter and Clinton
Tue: Heinz-Kerry
Wed: The Edwardses
Thu: Cleland (did you know Kerry was in Vietnam?) and the Heinz and Kerry families.

I don't see room for Ron Reagan in there.

This is going to be such a joke. Half the speakers are vets. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but Kerry should really have more to run on than he got shot at on occasion for 4 months 30 years ago. The not-so-swiftboaters, Retired Marine Lt. Col. Steve Brozak of New Jersey (whoever that is, he's a marine and only a Lt. Col., I am not impressed). Mayor O'Malley of Baltimore will be speaking on Wednesday: "Mayor Martin O'Malley is more worried about President Bush's policies than he is about al-Qaida terrorists, and he's not reluctant to say so."

Two words: Freak Show.

Peewee Reagan will probably get about five minutes. The Dims will offer some backhanded tribute to the real Reagan. All of it covered with the usual Dim concern for people. You know, people who need people..

The talking heads will yuck it up.

Write yer own script for this steaming heap. Keep the vomit pail handy.

Is it any wonder the networks are cutting coverage on the conventions? Mindless drivel.

What a line-up! What, no Kennedy's?

Two words: Freak Show.

Yeah, but it will be a prime time Freak Show, and I sincerely hope that some folks out there who might have thought about supporting them, will be disgusted by them.

Thu: Cleland (did you know Kerry was in Vietnam?) and the Heinz and Kerry families.

Expect the theme of his speech to be, "they questioned my patriotism" even though it was his judgement that was questioned, and rightly so. It's all these guys have on the foreign policy front: "Shut up! If you question why we're screwing up on National Security you must be calling us commies! McCarthyite!"

"Mayor Martin O'Malley is more worried about President Bush's policies than he is about al-Qaida terrorists, and he's not reluctant to say so."

First reaction: what a first class idiot.

Second reaction: Even if that quote had "Senator Kerry's policies" in it I wouldn't agree with it. What an idiot.

Third reaction: This is the same O'Malley who stood up to the (IIRC) AFL-CIO prez and chewed him out in public? Did weasels eat his brain in the interim?
