One by One Bush Exonerated
MensDailyNews ^ | 7/12/04 | Michael P. Tremoglie

One by one the conspiracy theories and allegations of lying, made by a coalition of liberals, Communists, and Democrats (LCD), and ironically Buchananites, have been debunked and discredited. The investigations, so desired by them have exonerated President Bush.

The major allegations, the names - in parentheses - of notable proponents, and the truth are:

· The 2000 election was stolen with the help of the Supreme Court. A corollary to this was blacks disenfranchised. (Congressional Black Caucus, Michael Moore, the Trotskyite World Socialist Web Site).

The truth is independent audits by newspapers, antipathetic to Bush being president, revealed that he would have won the election if the recount continued. An investigation by the U.S. Commission for Civil Rights reported, “ ( The Commission) does not find that the highest officials of the state conspired to disenfranchise voters.” [1]

· Bush knew about 9-11 in advance and did nothing to prevent it because he wanted to invade Iraq (Howard Dean, former Georgia Congresswomen Cynthia McKinney).

This one is so bizarre that – to quote Orwell, “One has to belong to the intelligentsia to believe things like that: no ordinary man could be such a fool.”

This is merely a recycled conspiracy theory from World War II. Then people claimed FDR knew about Pearl Harbor and did nothing because he wanted an excuse to enter World War II.

· The war was meant to distract from a bad economy (Democratic National Committee).

The economy improved - independently of events in Iraq.

· Bush secretly conspired to whisk Saudis out of the country by authorizing them to fly in the days following 9-11 when no one else, “not even the FBI,” could fly (Michael Moore, Vanity Fair).

The 9-11 commission and independent investigations by some journalists – including one by this author - have invalidated this.

· Bush and Cheney encouraged the CIA to exaggerate the intelligence about Iraq to in favor of war (Chris Matthews).

The Senate Select Intelligence Committee – and other sources - said that this was not the case. Only Senator Carl Levin, ironically, a hawk about Iraq during the Clinton years, is still trying to insist this is true.

· Bush lied when he claimed during his 2003 State of the Union address, “The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa” (Joe Wilson, Tom Daschle)

Recently, the Financial Times reported that European intelligence units stated that Iraq was seeking uranium. An independent inquiry about this by a British commission confirmed that there was an attempt by Iraq to purchase uranium from Niger. The Senate Select Intelligence Committee confirmed that this was true as well.

· The Bush administration is in league with Enron and Halliburton and invaded Iraq to annex their oil reserves (Ted Kennedy, Workers World Party, Revolutionary Communist Party).

It was well known that the Clinton administration’s Treasury Secretary Paul Rubin made the call to Paul O’Neill, the Bush administration Treasury Secretary, to do a favor for Enron. It is the Bush administration that is prosecuting major white–collar crime by corporations, such as Enron, for crimes committed during the Clinton years. Even more ironic is that the only people profiting from Iraqi oil were those who opposed the war. Hussein was paying the French, the Russians and others who opposed the war bribes by funds from the UN Oil-for-Food program instead of paying for food and medicine for sick and starving Iraqi kids.

· The Iraq war was a personal vendetta by George W. Bush because of Saddam Hussein’s attempt to assassinate his father in 1993 (LA Times Robert Scheer).

Considering all the other reasons proffered this is rather a non sequitur. However, even if true would not another states plot to assassinate the President of the United States be considered an act of war?

· Bush lied about a relationship between Al-Qaeda and Iraq (MoveOn.org, Michael Moore, Revolutionary Communist Party, Workers World Party).

There have been reports of cooperation between the two in the media and by government for years. Knight-Ridder, ABC, Newsweek all previously reported this during the 1990’s. Clinton’s CIA Directors James Woolsey, John Deustch and George Tenet said so.

The 9-11 Commission said there were contacts. The Democratic Vice Chair of the Commission said that there was no discrepancy between what Cheney said and the Commission’s preliminary report. There were reports that Iraq sent instructors to Afghanistan to teach Al-Qaeda terrorists. It is intrinsically a fallacy to claim Bush lied when years of evidence by various sources told him AL-Qaeda and Iraq were linked.

· The war is a plot by a cabal of Neocon imperialists to develop an American empire and protect Israel (Columnists Pat Buchanan and Georgie Anne Geyer, Atlanta Journal and Constitution).

This theory is another redux of a World War II conspiracy theory - the Jewish cabal-FDR theory.

The LCD propaganda machine began manufacturing lies about the president since the 2000 election. They are every bit as sophisticated at disinformation as the KGB was during the Cold War. All the investigations discredited these absurd allegations. Unfortunately, these inquiries diverted resources from the war on terror.

One can only wonder what future catastrophe will be the result of this obsession for political power by the president’s critics.

The exonerations are coming more quietly than the accusations.

Thanks for the entertaining (if rather sad) read - you have to be a real sick puppy to actually believe these things about our President.

How low some have sunk...

This is why I can't wait for the debates (ESPECIALLY Cheney-Edwards)...the Democratic griping is so easily refuted, and the Internet has been a wonderful tool for documenting the back-tracking and fallacy of Democratic arguments against Bush.

It wouldn't matter who was President if he were Republican. They would be doing the same to any Republican, and they started doing this during the campaign and continue the same nonstop.

Let's not forget the NYT retraction over the weekend stating that the Bush Thanksgiving turkey (after landing Air Force One in Baghdad) was real.

In their retractions, the NYT tried to call it a "correction", but I see it as being caught, willfully, knowingly, intentionally misleading themselves and others.

The 2000 election was stolen with the help of the Supreme Court.

This is the one that continues to gnaw at my butt. First of all, the socialist ignore the fact that the FLORIDA STATE SUPREME COURT GAVE IT TO ALGORE FIRST!!! The US Supremes merely said, you can count all the votes you want to recount, but you will recount THEM ALL, NOT JUST SELECTED SOCIALIST STRONG HOLD COUNTIES!!! That means, all the military votes these slime bags were trying to get thrown out!

"The 2000 election was stolen" Every time I hear this I can't help but laugh. What the Communist media don't tell you is that Clinton lost the popular vote in both 92 & 96 Elections.

I'm sure this isn't original, but I think I'd modify it to this:
liberals, Socialists, and Democrats (LSD)...,

I think this is good, as I've even been told by ex-patriate Russians that
they called their system "socialist".

Oh, please, don't tell the Unknown/Unseen Overlords, but Georgie (or was it Pat ... it's so hard to tell the difference because all goyim look alike to me) got me drunk and her/his/its wanton and lustful way with me. He/she/it promised that he/she/it would respect me in the morning and not tell anyone else.

I know ... I know ... report to the dungeon for reeducation.

But I am not convinced that FDR didn't know Pearl Harbor was coming.

Maybe not. But like we should have seen 9/11 coming, we should have seen Pearl Harbor. The evidence was there, right down to the banner headline in the Honilulu paper the week before saying the Japaneese would attack.

And for a fact, FDR was trying to provoke the Japaneese, cutting off raw materials they depended on, among many other provocations.

And for a fact, FDR desperatly wanted an excuse to get at the Nazis. We were already protecting British convoys, and I believe the Germans had already sunk a US destroyer. Such actions would have eventually led to war with Germany.

And, it took only 24 hours for FDR to take the attack on Pearl, and use it as an excuse to go after Germany.

It was probably the right thing to do, but like all politicians, FDR had his underhanded ways to get what he wanted.

Actually, he didn't. Germany used Pearl Harbor (very unwisely) as a reason to declare war on America on December 10th, 1941.

It's freakish how often we see communist media outlets and the democrats mentioned in the same breath and in agreement on the issue no less.

We have got to beat this over the heads of the non-believers, we need a Jihad of TRUTH!!
