Statement by Sen. Pete Domenici (R-NM) Regarding John Kerry’s Upcoming Trip to New Mexico
George W. Bush ^ | July 9, 2004

Posted on 07/09/2004 2:53:43 PM PDT by RWR8189

WASHINGTON, DC— U.S. Sen. Pete Domenici (R-NM) issued the following statement regarding John Kerry’s upcoming trip to New Mexico:

“The Kerry-Edwards ticket is the most liberal ticket in history, and their records reveal a distinct disconnect with the values, concerns and sensibilities of New Mexicans.

"Just last night, Kerry and Edwards attended a fundraiser in New York City where Hollywood celebrities called President Bush a liar, thug and killer. Kerry has yet to denounce these hate-filled attacks. In fact, he said that the performers represented ‘the heart and soul of our country.’ I disagree.

“The Democratic ticket combines the most liberal and the fourth most liberal Senators, according to National Journal. Both Kerry and Edwards voted against funding for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. They both oppose banning partial-birth abortion. Both of them have been an impediment to common-sense, environmentally friendly policies to make our forests healthier and safer from wildfires. They have blocked attempts to create a national energy policy.

“There is no doubt that John Edwards just brings more of the same East Coast liberal extremism that New Mexicans do not embrace.

“I’m confident that throughout this campaign, New Mexicans will become increasingly aware that President Bush and Vice President Cheney understand their needs and have the record to prove it, while John Kerry and John Edwards have spent years neglecting issues of importance to the West and have given little reason to believe the future will be any different.”

They are having an absolute hatefest for Bush there. Pure inchoate hatred and rage....

Kerry has yet to denounce these hate-filled attacks. In fact, he said that the performers represented ‘the heart and soul of our country.’

I would tell Mr. Kerry to his face that I am an American citizen and a damned (Sorry Mr. Robinson) PROUD one at that and I am a big part of the heart and soul of this country and that TRASH he associated himself with last night DOES NOT REPRESENT ME, MY FAMILY NOR MY FRIENDS. So Mr. kerrie should speak for his own self, his own family and his own friends but he should never fool himself into thinking he can speak for me and mine!

With that said, Kerry and Edwards should be ashamed of themselves not only as political candidates but as husbands and fathers. I guess edwards thinks trash talking about the President of the United States much less while we are at war is something he approves of? I guess he thinks being on stage with the tastless, ignorant, and vulgar whoopeee is something to be proud of? I guess he thinks its ok that she said those things as long as he didn't say them and that's OK? Does he and kerrie think that is OK? Tells me a lot about the both of them..even more than I want to know which is zero.

By the way folks...did you see kerree with the guitar? Does this bring back any memories for anyone? clintin with the sax? Tipper on the drums? this is all reminiscent of the clintin/gore...sore/loserman campaign and the hob nobbing with the hollywood crowd. This is exactly the same way clintin began.

It's all party time all the time with these people folks. Keree didn't even have time to attend a Terrorist briefing. He admited that himself. Why? He's a disgrace and anyone in their right mind that votes for him is ignorant of all the facts and is looking to live in a fantasy world which they will be promised but wont' get.

Hatred for President Bush is all it is. President Bush WON the election and they could still be counting in Florida and the votes would STILL be piling up for President Bush because "HE WON...PLAIN AND SIMPLE!"

President Bush and Vice President Cheney, Colin Powell and Condi Rice and Donald Rumsfeld are all adult, males and females happy with whom they are and what they have accomplished in their lives. they are adults and conduct themselves like adults. They are about working for the people of America and doing the right thing by them no matter who thinks its right or who thinks its wrong. Know why? Cause they have conviction and courage to do and know right from wrong and do not live their lives by the polls. They do what is right and they press on with it no matter who attacks them. Haven't had that kind of leadership in a long time.

You don't see any of them running around trying to act like teenagers on stage with a bunch of phony baloney so called stars. Whoopie is right...why was she asked? Everyone knows she can get raunchy and she even as much as told them so with her return card and what she did with it. They KNEW she would say what she wanted and they could have UNINVITED her. It was THEIR PARTY'S RESPONSIBILITY not Whoope's.

Kerry and Edwards and all that crowd are all so unbelieveable insecure it boggles the mind. Let's hang with the young crowd man (except for newman and the other woman who was on the show...jessica somebody...haven't heard her name in so long can't even remember it (cause I wouldn't call them young...but I digress) ...then the representative from Sex in the City sitcom...well, that says a lot without saying another word.

This is the "good time" crowd just like clintin liked to be known as the "good time" president. Well, we see what happend on 9-11 because of lack of attention to important detail. They can try to blame the CIA and the FBI and President Bush for all of that all they want but...the last administration in my opinion and the opinion of millions of others dropped the ball big time. Clintin was in office for 8 years oh and by the way FIGHTING for the people the whole time. Like Gore was gonna do. Well, how come then in 8 years things weren't any better?????? Always fightiing. Always holding up the fist...always angry looking and mad and sour faced. Kerrie does the same thing. We will FIGHT for you! Yipes man...try another line will ya?

President Bush IS the man for our country. He is mature, he is a responsible adult, he loves his family, he RESPECTS his family, HE my friends has the TRUE "heart and soul" of this country uppermost in all his mind when he is faced with so many difficult decisions and he's not a party animal (or a pretend party animal) like kerrie and edwards. Did they look awkward or what? You either have it or you don't...they didn't.

Shame on both those men. If it wasn't so sad it would be downright comical watching kerree with the guitar and edwards being called "kid." Amazing. Imagine...bringing their wives and families onto a stage to be exposed to people filled with and spewing such venom from their jealous, vengeful, bitter mouths. That shows a lot of respect for family values doesn't it? I have to say if President Bush had his family on stage and performers talked that kind of filth and trash he would have stepped forward and denounced them. But...that's the difference between manners, lack of manners and class and lack of class. Not to mention stopping vulgarity and filth in its tracks which would have been the right thing to do no matter the cost or loss of votes.

I am voting PROUDLY for the SECOND time for Bush/Cheney but...if kerree or edwards either one would have had the gumption or courage and be MAN enough to denounce some of the nasty remarks last night I would have had more respect for them and so might a lot of other people. As it is now...my lack of respect and dislike for both of those desperate, sad people is even greater than before. They are two pitiful little pawns in a losing battle.

The United States of America is under attack not only by the terrorists but by the dem/lib party and this country does not need this kind of disgraceful behavior and condoning of the same kind of disgraceful behavior by others. To disagree with a President is good and right. To do and say the things this crowd of vulgar people did last night goes beyond the pale. Tastless and crude would seem to me to be the hit of their evening. The filthier and dirtier the better I guess with some of these people and silence from kerrrie and edwards in my mind condoned everything that was said and done.

Wake up America. the kerrie/edwards ticket won't be any better nor different than the 8 awful, useless years we had with the last administration. they have no plans...they have no solutions. Even edwards has flip flopped from what he said prior to the war on Chris Matthews show. They are attack dogs only. They are there in name only and I think they will rue the day or night in this case they attended this Bush Bashing evening.

The REAL candidates are Bush/Cheney AND I might add in all honesty...... Ralph Nader. At least I respect Mr. Nader for his honesty and his desire to do what he thinks is right. I do not agree with him and will not vote for him but...at least he has kept his dignity and self respect and...respect for others. That says a lot more than what you can say for the kerrie/edwards ticket of farce!

Well, got that off my chest and thank everyone for their patience during such a long read. But I had to speak out. The behavior last night was probably the lowest in history...don't know but if it wasn't it came pretty darn close I am sure. The kerrie/edwards ticket has lost a lot over last night I would predict and they will realize it at the polls when they lose to Bush/Cheney. God bless our President and Vice President. They're the best!

Thanks! I ran away from downtown as fast as I could this afternoon. Seemed like there were sure a lot of vans circling the soup kitchen/shelter district trolling for constituents. ;o)

Except for Domenici, I haven't seen or heard any denunciation of the outrageous statements and behavior of that gaggle of trash. Rather, Kerry giggled like a girl while they stroked his ego, played a guitar (ANOTHER dancing, playing candidate) and girly-man Edwards looked more and more like the toy that he apparently is, just as Ann Coulter observed. These people are dangerous and it serves us well to never underestimate the enemy.
