Nevada County Sees Surge in Fake Voter Registration

LAS VEGAS — Nevada's position as a battleground state in the upcoming presidential election has sparked an increase in fraudulent voter registrations (search) in southern Nevada, a top election official said.

Larry Lomax, Clark County (search) registrar of voters, said his office has identified several hundred questionable registrations among the 5,000 registration forms submitted to his office every week.

The Nevada Attorney General's Office is investigating.

"We've never seen anything close to this," Lomax said. "There are stupid criminals out there, and there are smart ones. We can spot the stupid ones because they submit them in a stack."

[snip]

"It's useless to do that kind of fraud," said Terrence Tolbert, state director of America Coming Together (search), a national voter registration group. "You can't turn out fake registered people to vote."

Boy, did this guy just fall off the turnip truck, or what? You can get a stack of punch-card ballots, and drive a spike through all of them for the candidate you want to win, just as they were doing for years in FLA until someone got really sloppy in 2000. Or you can go to the nursing homes, register all the senile and ill residents, and vote their absentee votes for them. Anyone who has a loved one in custodial care needs to be aware of this fraud. The Dems have dozens of ways to cheat including paying for votes with cigarettes and booze and "walking around money" in the barios and ghettos of every state.

And there you have it. This election will be full of fraud. But never fear, there's a couple of trial lawyers out there who will know how to "fix" everything. Be assured they are already planning their strategy.

Probably Republican. If you are gonna commit fraud, might as well blame it on the other guy.

America Coming Together, the group sending felons out to register dogs cats and Dems only.

I'd really like to know. That info is on the registration. Why wasn't it included in the article? I demand to know. This crap needs to be exposed no matter which party is at fault.

Well, let's see...

Because of the state's swing-state status, political groups including both state parties are paying people by the hour to register voters, a common practice.

However, some groups are apparently paying for each registration form filed, which is against both state and federal law.

"It's useless to do that kind of fraud," said Terrence Tolbert, state director of America Coming Together (search), a national voter registration group. "You can't turn out fake registered people to vote."

A number of nonprofit groups, including Rock the Vote (search) and the New Voters Project (search), are also registering voters in Nevada.

Lomax said as many as 100 different groups have asked his office for voter registration forms. The forms are numbered and recorded to monitor each group's efforts.

They're trying AWFUL hard to NOT say, aren't they?

The liberal Democrats marching orders are: "By any and every means necessary." By voter registration fraud, by voting machine fraud [i.e. touch-screens & ether ballots], by illegal & criminal activity at voting /polling places on election day.

Remember South Dakota! Remember New Jersey! Remember Missouri! Remember Milwaukee! Remember Chicago! And, remember the lost "ether" votes by a faulty computer server in some district in PA!

The liberal Democrats are gearing up to steal this upcoming election by fraud nationwide.

Obviously not true. The Dims have been doing it for decades now. I know they paid $$$ in Chicago for votes from family who collected ( Depression FDR lovers ). Also many voters who were strangers in the ethnic precincts.

Why not? What a stupid comment.

Here in CA, they don't ask for ID at the polls and, even if they did, would a poll worker be able to spot a fake one? I seriously doubt it. Besides, there's always absentee ballots that could be used much more easily.

I have a feeling we're going to see a pandemic of voter fraud cases right after this years election.

The Dims are so filled with hate and vile right now, they will stoop to anything to steal the office. There is no telling how low they will sink.

If it's close, the GOP needs to be prepared to fight this in the close states.

The Dims are going to pull out all of the stops to win this year.. We need to stop them..

It's no coincidence most of the polls last year had Bush up by 2-3 points, only to see it be a deadheat..

We'll see something similar this year.. Hopefully Bush opens a big enough lead.. I think he will.

i believe wholeheartedly that if they knew that a terrorist attack (WMD in a major city, etc) would get kerry elected--
they would cheer on al-queda to no end. they already worship michael moore who has had help in distributing his film by hezbollah and red china
