It only takes one to start the revolution. Ronald Reagan already proved that. People are starved for leadership in this country and sick of wasteful government.

What I also take from this article is that if Mark Sanford is that popular, there is no way Inez Tenenbaum is going to win a Senate race in SC, and no way Kerry and Edwards will carry it in November either. Having Republican governors in many of the Southern states is going to be more important than ever in the presidential election. We have GOP governors in SC, Florida, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Arkansas, and they are all popular as far as I know.

Congress could use a few Mark Sanfords too rather than people who call themselves Conservatives like Rick Santorum but don't care about spending increases. I think the Dems would go crazy if a Republican from SOUTH CAROLINA became President.
