The "group" and The Nation are the same entity. The "pleasevote.org" website is registered to Ham Fish, who is the editor of The Nation. This thing is owned by The Nation, they just tried to put a little insulation between the two entities.
I can't find it either, although a google search shows sites with links to it. The links are broken.
I did find a site with what appears to be the image, here:
http://plambeck.org/
Looks like the site got killed but not before the above site archived the image. Here it is:
Probably much more graphic in full magazine size.

That's interesting. I think it's time to blow their cover.......
Maybe someone already blew their cover and Ham Fish yanked the the site?
LOL
I understand completely. I detest anyone who is, at this late date is "undecided", and perhaps as much as any Dim.
I don't want to love them. Just use them like the dimwitts they are. ;)
Who is the artist (and I use that term loosely here...)?
How morbid! This guy who did the Bush pic is not only weird, he's a plagiarist! Scumbag.
oymygawd.
But what's the POINT? Why did they do it? Is it just stupid or was there supposed to be a meaning behind it?
Cannibalizing children? Isn't that what the left wants to do with "stem cell research"?
That would be standard operating procedure from the nutbag left. Stop in, toss a bomb, then distance oneself.
heck, that cartoon is plagiarized from Goya, Saturn Eating His Children.
Mrs VS
as Romulus said first.
It's Goya's painting of "Cronos Eating His Children". Goya had a dark side, as you know, and the Greek myth of Cronos -- Time -- eating his own children must have impressed him on some primal level.
No, the artist of the pastiche isn't a plagiarist. He assumes his viewers are familiar with the Goya original, which is pretty well-known: it's what makes the pastiche work.
That's what I was wondering.
If that thing is art then so is the pink flamingo. That was one of the funniest things Jack Carney ever did.
Touche.
What is the difference between eating a baby for lunch or killing it to rub on your wounds (stem cell)?
What the heck! I'll do a Photoshop of Michael Moore's face (though I'd have to increase the body by several hundred percent)
Good you're here. isn't there a islamic wives tale about the Jews eating the palestinian children. could this be playing to this market?
"No, the artist of the pastiche isn't a plagiarist. He assumes his viewers are familiar with the Goya original, which is pretty well-known: it's what makes the pastiche work."
Well...I can tell ya, it doesn't work for me.
I know, I know, art is art; to some,it's trash, to some, it's treasure.Perspective, and all that. I've never been into "dark art",as it were,
and I don't consider Picasso to be genius. Michelangelo, DaVinci,Renoir, etc. are more my cup of tea.
William Blake?
